Wednesday, August 24, 2011. Sometime ago I cooked up some baked oatmeal as featured in the Amish cookbook called Amish Heritage Cookbook. I plan to make it again. I think next time I will try it with strawberries and bananas. I also liked this recipe because it freezes well and keeps well in the fridge. All you have to do is re-heat it and add it to some milk and you are good to go. It doesn't take much longer to prepare than your standard instant oatmeal and it tastes way better! Saturday, September 20, 2014. I am now 32 weeks! The picture below was taken at 30 weeks. I have been doing pretty well with everything. Sleep is a little more difficult to get just because I wake up earl and can't get back to sleep the take naps during the day. Thankfully I have time for those! I'm just feeling a little uncomfortable and some things are just a lot harder for me to do. like get up off the bed or floor. We had an ultrasound yesterday! It is always fun to see her! Sunday, June 15, 2014. So we have an ultrasound scheduled for two weeks from now and I have been going through all the "old wives tales" to see what they predict the baby to be. So, here is what we have found! 1 Chinese Gender Chart: According to the Chinese, we are having a boy! In all honesty, I have no idea. haha What do you think? Well, I was definitely more moody in the first trimester but it has gone down recently. However, this may be more of a question for Stewart than me ;) I will say girl.

I decided to start a blog with things I enjoy doing. I love to bake so that will be a lot of it. I've also recently started quilting so I'll share some of my projects. Tuesday, January 1, 2013. Here is the quilt I made my parents for Christmas this year. It was large enough and heavy enough, I had a hard time getting a good picture of the full blanket. For the back I used my new favorite fabric called cuddly rose minky. It is so silky. I love it! It feels as good as it looks! January 1, 2013 at 4:38 PM.

My cousin Marissa is having a baby boy in April. I had a quilt top that I had done a while ago but never finished so figured I'd try to quilt it myself and give to her. Well that didn't work out so well so started from scratch. I saw this helicopter fabric and had to use that since my uncle flies helicopters.

My sister has asked me to make a quilt for each of her kids. The first one is for Ryan. The hardest part of this quilt was finding fabric he liked. Couldn't be babyish or girly. Thursday, October 16, 2014. Here are a couple little projects that I have finished recently. Like I told Sara Joy, we don't have patterns or a color theme so these look totally random haha The deer one is a receiving blanket. I had a lot of fun with the stitches on my sewing machine with these projects and they were simple and quick which is what is fun for me right now haha. Here is a very tired looking picture of me at 35 weeks 5 days! Stewart found this and we thought it was pretty funny.
