A mish-mash of my impressions, experiences, and adventures in Australia and beyond! Friday, July 16, 2004. Well, there are now only 4 sleeps until I go to New Zealand! Yup, Paul and I decided a while back that we needed to see another country while in the Southern Hemisphere, and what better one to see than the land of Kiwis! PLus, Becky is there, and now Mark as well! Dad, you're going to have to buy another book of maps, but this country is much smaller, so you should be allright! Anywho, there was a p...

We went back to the hostel (Foley Towers if you want to look it up Dad), and had some tea and chatted til 3amish, then off to bed! We went in intending to have a couple samples and head out, but they were just about to start a tour, andafter a couple samples we wanted more so we did the tour and ATE. We learned...

Last Wednesday morning after a lovely breakfast at Soho's in trendt Toorak, Paul, Joanne, Kemi, Scott and I left Melbourne behind and set out for the Great Ocean Road! Who are these people? There is a huge surf competition here every Easter, and we saw...

Time for Tea: 2005-03-13
http://beckygoesbritish.blogspot.com/2005_03_13_archive.html
Off I go again. to the British Isles this time! Saturday, March 19, 2005. All Holidays Come to an End, I Suppose. So I like this job, it's easy. It's a filler. I think the hardest part will be to NOT say "at the hostel I used to work at, we did ." This is a nice place, particularly considering the location and competition, but it's no BBH. NZ ruins its backpackers by spoiling them like crazy. To go anywhere after is a bit of a let down really. Posted by Becky at 1:12 PM. Posted by Becky at 12:37 PM.

Off I go again. to the British Isles this time! Wednesday, June 15, 2005. I really, really suck. Honestly, how crap am I? Yet agian my apologies, but life is busy. As I explained lat time, the commute makes for long days and the Saturday shift makes for short weekends. But all will change. Today I took a flat in Windsor - yeah! Posted by Becky at 12:20 AM. You're just busy living! Just had lunch with Miss Shields, so good to see her. Drop a line sometime! View my complete profile. Allergic to a city?

A mish-mash of my impressions, experiences, and adventures in Australia and beyond! Thursday, April 15, 2004. Hervey Bay was beautiful (though we weren't there very long) we did get a chance to walk along the coast, admire the sun setting on the sea, and the ginormous flock of bats fill the skies. Yes, you read correctly. Approximately ONE MILLION fruit bats leave their daytimg nesting trees within a 5 minute span, and the sky is absolutely black with them! So back to the coach! The day wasn't all about ...

Off I go again. to the British Isles this time! Wednesday, September 28, 2005. I ate Meatloaf and I liked it. And more of my weekends are being spent in Windsor now as many of our London crew has disbanded to return to their homelands or continue their travels. There’s still a fun few around, but the numbers have dwindled dramatically from the 15 or so we had starting the summer off! My roommates have seen a bit sillier side of me (Silly? And just a few weeks ago Raeanne popped by for a holiday! Note I’m...

Time for Tea: Ciao Bella!
http://beckygoesbritish.blogspot.com/2005/12/ciao-bella.html
Off I go again. to the British Isles this time! Thursday, December 15, 2005. 1 week and I will be leaving on a jet plane. Don’t know when I’ll be back again (musical interlude provided by your subconscious). Starting to sink in now that I have told everyone, resigned and given up my flat. Too late to change my mind? Even started packing last night. It’s December after all, that obviously means it’s time to pack up my life and start again. Venice the city of canals of history and culture of Italian men!

Time for Tea: Aye, lassie bonnie Scotland ye say

Off I go again. to the British Isles this time! Friday, November 18, 2005. Aye, lassie bonnie Scotland ye say. I got behind again. So behind in fact that I don’t remember what I last wrote. Did I talk about our trip to the south west Exeter, Beer and Abbotsbury? Where do I begin? Let’s work backwards This week is a bit manic as my team is participating in a career fair in London and guess who forged ahead and took lead of that project no surprises there. It’s good though because last weeks holiday se...

Time for Tea: I missed a week. Forgive me.
http://beckygoesbritish.blogspot.com/2005/10/i-missed-week-forgive-me.html
Off I go again. to the British Isles this time! Friday, October 21, 2005. I missed a week. Forgive me. Highlights include: a 14th century church, seeing men hurl themselves at rubbish bins, a wade through a river, and seeing Chicago live. Don’t get me wrong, Exetor was a lovely town with an astoundingly large cathedral being the focus and large portions of the city wall remaining, but it will forever be marred in my eyes by the bin bashing boy bingers. We went through picturesque little villages full of ...
