http://beckyjoiner.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 21, 2010. Just Enough Frills for an Ascot. For my crochet class. Tonight, I wanted to create a project that is simple, pretty, and only involves the most basic of crochet stitches. Simplicity at it's best. Worsted Weight Yarn (I used 1 skein of Debbie Stoller's Bamboo Ewe. 90 mm Crochet Hook. Darning Needle for weaving in ends. For scarf body,. Next, Double Crochet into the 2nd chain stitch from the end and then in every chain across. You should have 15 double crochets. In each corner,...

Sunday, January 23, 2011. Between larger sweater projects, I have to make quick things so that I won't be too bored. I am flighty. I am impatient. I have issues finishing things. That's how I roll. Made by Becky: Lady Mitts
http://beckyjoiner.blogspot.com/2010/12/lady-mitts.html
Sunday, December 12, 2010. Crochet and I have become rather good friends. It can be so sculptural and easier for me to design as I go. This week my obsession has landed on fingerless gloves. Austin does get chilly enough for some little woolen accessories, and these little mitts fit the bill. They work up quite quickly too. Here's how to make them:. I am apologizing for my return to crummy phone pics. I can't find my friggin' camera charger. Materials: G hook, worsted weight yarn. I used Full o Sheep.

Sunday, December 26, 2010. Materials: I-9 Crochet Hook, 150 to 220 yards worsted weight yarn (like Malabrigo or Manos Maxima). This scarf is worked lengthwise, so although you have to get through a long foundation chain, there are only 5 or 7 rows. Chain 203, the last 3 chain stitches count as the turning chain. R1: dc across all chain stitches, 200 dc. Last Row: chain 3, dc across all stitches, including the single chain stitches between dc. Tie off, make fringe. Here's how I make fringe:. Crochet and I...

http://liberriansprojects.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html
A chronicle of projects in progress, completed, past, and future, including sewing, knitting, building, baking, cooking, and anything else that seems to fit. Monday, May 19, 2008. Play Kitchen, part 2. I finished the kitchen! It's set up in the (real) kitchen now, and it appears to be a stunning success. Boozle washes her hands, bakes pizza, and boils pizza toppings. Here's a video of her first time playing with it:. And some photos of the finished product:. Continued from Play Kitchen, part 1]. A trip t...

http://liberriansprojects.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html
A chronicle of projects in progress, completed, past, and future, including sewing, knitting, building, baking, cooking, and anything else that seems to fit. Wednesday, April 30, 2008. Hopefully this is not yet another started, but not-to-be-completed project. I've been working on lots of projects lately and feeling the need to document them. So I begin. Patchwork circle skirts for the boozle. Following a tutorial from Just Tutes. I made a sundress and I retrofitted a pair of ripped overalls with a skirt.

I then sewed them on to the square with a straight stitch across (the stitch runs right over the crease of the flap). To number the envelopes, I used puffy paint (which someone remarked looks like cookie frosting! I guess advent calendars usually have the date on them, so they count up to 25, but I went with the countdown...

Liberrian's Projects: June 2010
http://liberriansprojects.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
A chronicle of projects in progress, completed, past, and future, including sewing, knitting, building, baking, cooking, and anything else that seems to fit. Thursday, June 3, 2010. The first time she wore this Hanna Anderssen dress, Alma poured thick hot chocolate down the front. The stain never came out despite repeated attempts on my part. I thought this dress was just the cutest, softest, best all-around dress in her wardrobe (among the approximately 1000 dresses she has). Links to this post.

A photo by liberrian. One of Jasper's favorite books is Tomi Ungerer's Moon Man. For his birthday I made him a Moon Man. Here is is! It took a little trial-and-error to get the shape right (or at least not laughable), but it was a success- Jasper immediately knew who it was and has slept with it every night ever since.

Liberrian's Projects: We need more "before" photos
http://liberriansprojects.blogspot.com/2012/01/we-need-more-before-photos.html
A chronicle of projects in progress, completed, past, and future, including sewing, knitting, building, baking, cooking, and anything else that seems to fit. Tuesday, January 31, 2012. We need more "before" photos. And here we are. I took these last spring. I clearly didn't clean up and de-clutter, which is exactly how to make the "after" photos look even better. If only I'd thought to dimly light them and somehow make the cabinets look fat and dumpy, with bags under their eyes. Take a few steps back fro...

Liberrian's Projects: November 2010

A chronicle of projects in progress, completed, past, and future, including sewing, knitting, building, baking, cooking, and anything else that seems to fit. Tuesday, November 9, 2010. I made Alma's Halloween costume this year. It started out a fairy princess, but she declared it a Tinkerbell costume, so Tinkerbell it is. I started with Wee Wonderful's Fairy Dress-up tutorial. I debated the waist area for a while. I didn't want to tuck the shirt in- I thought it might look sloppy given the crazy snap...

A Little Bit of Everything. | Exactly what it says on the tin (or in the title).
A Little Bit of Everything. Exactly what it says on the tin (or in the title). School Direct- Done and Dusted! July 17, 2014. Despite the mixed emotions, the day was mainly one of joy and celebration with all the trainees coming together to express our feelings and congratulations to each other for surviving this year- we’ve made it through (although I may have aged an additional 10 years in the process)! Next year, I am lucky to be staying in the school I trained at – an ‘outstanding’ ...Now, I am going...

Becky's Empty Nest
Friday, March 11, 2011. Life has been so busy I haven't updated life since Timothy. As you can tell, everyone loves him to pieces. Monday, December 27, 2010. It has been quite the busy year since the last post (7 months ago). Not that it's surprising that I haven't updated in that long. My summer and fall were filled with a move to a new school building and all the joys and problems that go along with such a thing. Sunday, May 2, 2010. What does a middle-aged, out-of-shape, empty-nester do for fun? We al...
