What's for dinner? Just another WordPress.com site. January 18, 2012. 1 1/4 cups sugar. 2/3 cup brown sugar. 1/3 cup cold butter cut into small pieces. Preheat oven to 375 F. In a medium sized saucepan mix the sugar and cornstarch together. Add the cherries and turn heat to medium-high heat. Cook cherries and stir constantly until the sauce thickens, let boil for about 1 minute. Take off the heat and add the cinnamon and vanilla. Pour into a 8 by 8 inch dish. Set aside. I love tomato soup! 3 pounds ripe plum (roma) tomatoes, cut in half lengthwise. 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons good olive oil. 1 tablespoon kosher salt. 1 1/2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper. 2 cups chopped yellow onions (1 1/2-2 onions). 6 garlic cloves, minced. 1 (28-ounce) canned plum tomatoes, with their juice. 4 cups fresh basil leaves, packed. 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme. 1 quart chicken stock or water.

The only tricky thing about this dessert is cooking it in a warm water bath, other than that, very easy. (I have also halved this recipe and it turned out just as good!
