Friday, August 7, 2009. I believe that God asks us to play the "Trust Game" with Him every day. He says, "Come on, close your eyes and fall. I promise I'll catch you.". Sometimes we tell him to wait: "Not right now, God. I'm busy today. I have a 2 pm appointment with the CEO and I've got to get my speech ready.". Sometimes we say that we're ready but we just stand there with our arms out and eyes closed, but never actually fall. I have never once been dropped.and that's when I'm playing with humans.

We often pride ourselves on our independence and ability to take care of ourselves. God, however, asks us to give up our independence and trust in His ability to care for us. Although sometimes this can be a rather uncomfortable task, I find that the more I give to God, the more at peace and protected I feel. Never vulnerable; always safe. Here I Go Again".

He has provided a safe and affordable home for me with another spanish speaker so I can continue to practice. I love that teenagers and people my age, will (for the most part) spend their Friday and Saturday nights at home with their families. I love that grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. are involved in every aspect of their lives. I love that kids don't move away from their parents until their married. I am so, so, so blessed.
