This is a great time to dig up lily of the valley pips to force indoors. First I have to find them - on the north side of the house,. Buried under leaf debris. It amazes me that the pips can survive. Our normal winter temperatures (zone 5),. Exposed above the soil line. One year I potted the pips too deeply, and they didn't flower.
