What a Fabulous surprise! My other Holiday recipe I submitted to the lovely folks over at They Draw and Cook was 2nd runner up in their Holiday recipe contest. I'm so excited and feel amazingly honored to have been considered since there were SOOOO many wonderful entries. Check it out here. It was also posted over at the FN Dish here. It's funny I really loved how this one turned out - so much that I reused the elements for my Holiday banner before I knew the good news. Merry, merry, MERRY christmas :).

My heart goes out to Joplin, Missouri. Hello friends sorry for the lack of posting. I have been consumed and overwhelmed emotionally over the past 4 weeks. The day after the storm my uncles and cousin drove out to Joplin to help her. That is when the it became quite apparent that she needed to get out herself and her stuff out of her home. The roof was falling down and well the house was much more damaged then she had thought when she got home in the dark the night before. June 20, 2011 at 7:01 PM.

A few e-postcards I made :). These are available to send here. My heart goes out to Joplin, Missouri. Hello friends sorry for the lack of posting. I have been consumed and overwhelmed emotionally over the past 4 weeks. Unbeknownst to mother nature and her plan I had booked my ticket a month before for my visit. I was to fly out to Kansas City the Wednesday after the storm. Perfect timing right? The hospital was badly damaged, my mom's car was a loss, and her home was not safe to live in-but she is ok :).
