My husband was by no means in favor of it but neither was he in favor of his son spiraling into the dual worlds of depression and anxiety at age seven. Not mastery. There certainly was not the completely developmentally inappropriate emphasis and concentration on writing prose that has infiltrated our kindergarten classrooms these days. Has the whole world forgotten that children are. Just five years old.
