To give the average flip flop some festive flare, simply tie water balloons around each of the straps. So easy and so cute! Baking, Crafting, and Decorating tomorrows memories. Thursday, May 26, 2011. I made my first pie of the season last week. Strawberry Rhubarb. The rhubarb came straight from my Aunt's garden and couldn't have been better. I made the pie dough in my food processor and included the recipe below. Ingredients for pie dough = 1.5 sticks cold butter (cut into small pieces), 1.75 cups all purpose flour, 1/8 tsp. salt, ice water, plastic wrap, Silpat. 1 Place flour and dough in the food processor and combine them.

Sunday, April 22, 2012. Magic Kingdom - 2 days. On Tuesday, we spent our first day in the Disney parks. Since it was spring break, the crowd levels were expected to be very high. From all my research, I learned it's best to arrive early when the park opens. We got everyone up at 6:15am! By 10am, I felt like it was 3pm. The advantage was that it was cool and not crowded until about 11am. We were on our way back to the hotel by 2pm (later than expected but we didn't go back that evening). My kids haven't s...

Saturday, December 08, 2012. UVA v Miami game in Charlottesville. We went to Charlottesville on November 10th for the UVA v. Miami game. We go every two years when Miami plays UVA at home since Dave went to Miami undergrad. It was a perfect day and the noon game time worked really well for our schedule.
