Spoonfulls of Sugar: Virtual File Cabinet
http://spoon-fulls-of-sugar.blogspot.com/2015/03/virtual-file-cabinet.html
Thursday, March 26, 2015. I'm going to switch gears (sort of) for a little bit on the blog, and use it to store some ideas for school-related activities. Mainly because I deplore the amount of space that a file cabinet takes up, and then once you need something it takes forever to find it, even if it's filed, which who has time to do that anyway? If I save it to the computer, and the computer dies, it's gone. So here we are. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Five in Tow - Home. Camping is such a blast!

Spoonfulls of Sugar: July 2014
http://spoon-fulls-of-sugar.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Monday, July 14, 2014. Several weeks ago, we visited friends and family in Tennessee, one of whom is a very sweet lady who I *may* have been named after. She also is a fantastic cook, and normally serves vegetables that they have grown themselves and canned. Clearly, sharing a name with her must have set me on this path. It's destiny. 1 lb Yellow Squash. 4 T butter, divided. 1/4 cup mayo (I use Duke's. We're in the south). 1/2 cup shredded cheese of your choice. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Spoonfulls of Sugar: February 2014
http://spoon-fulls-of-sugar.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Wednesday, February 19, 2014. Well, most of the free world that cares knows we had an ice storm followed by mass power outages which sort of forced cancellation of our dinner party. I was in denial on Wednesday, and so even though we didn't have power, I kept making preparations, like this one:. Some of us found other ways to entertain ourselves during the power outage. Still not sure who won this arm-wrestling match pictured below. Once we got to her house, I poached apples that were to have been in the...

Sunday, March 23, 2014. I'm not sure if I've ever mentioned that we sort of call this dinner "La Laverie" because all of the recipes come from the French Laundry cookbook, and La Laverie. Is French for The Laundromat. We call it this so far as it is printed on the menu. This year, I somehow got myself up to 7 courses, not including the gougeres. 1 Soft Poached Quail Eggs with Apple-wood Smoked Bacon (a.k.a. "bacon and eggs"). I call them tasty little bites. I've made this before too. The sorbet didn'...

Spoonfulls of Sugar: November 2013
http://spoon-fulls-of-sugar.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Friday, November 1, 2013. Because I have been convicted this year regarding the celebration of Halloween, so much so that I feel led to share it, but want to make it very, very clear that I don't expect you to have this same conviction, and if you don't ever have it, I'm not going to judge you. And even if we do it innocently (as a baseball player, cowboy, little red riding hood, tin man, and luke skywalker) what sort of message does our participation send to unbelievers? Saturday, June 21, 2014. Zucchini and Squash Recipes. Last post, I mentioned we've been eating squash and zucchini almost daily it seems. This is still mostly true. So, I thought I'd start keeping track of how many ways we have found to eat these great summer veggies for posterity. Last night, we modified a family favorite, corn fritters. All of my kids eat, and frequently request these corn fritters that are in my Williams Sonoma Comfort Food. Here is the recipe:. Corn and Zucchini Fritters. Note about ...
