Myles Away From Home. I am writing this from Nampula, Mozambique. This is my third visit to Nampula and to Mozambique. I am here to work on the on-going project we are implementing here to build water points and improve sanitation and hygiene in 600 rural communities. I will be in Mozambique for a total of 2.5 weeks, and it is going to be a whirlwind trip! It is quite hot here, probably reaching 35C. Myles Away From Home. We all gave it a go; the Americans gave up pretty early given their lack of sleep from their previous night’s adventures, and Dave and I continued on to the intersection. It was slow going at that altitude! Once there, we were given the option of continuing uphill, which I would have liked to have done but I was already getting a headache from the exertion at that altitude so we decided to get in the truck. Myles Away From Home. It made the trip so much more enjoyable. The town of Inhambane itself was quite nice. It is a small, sleepy government town. There is only one road to get there and it is at the end of the road so there is no through traffic. If you are there, it’s because you wanted to go there. Myles Away From Home. Day Trip to Otavalo. We continued on to a little shop outside Otavalo with a lovely view of San Pablo lake. Back in the car, we headed out of Otavalo to the town of Cotacachi, which is known for its leather goods. We wandered around the streets of the town and bought a few things. Brenda and Cam's BC Adventure. Wednesday, March 21, 2007. We went to over To Vancouver on Saturday to see Tan before he moves back to Ontario, and go out for St. Patrick's Day. Brenda knocks one back. Cam is the greenest! Somehow we ended up taking home a cake. We were also in Vancouver in November for Brenda's professional certification exam. Brenda nailed the test and we drank some beers! A lot of beers. Don't mess with these guys! Brenda, Cam, Tan and Kristi. Posted by Cam at 8:33 PM. Not a native bird.
