I'd never ever heard of a rice ale before, so when I saw this at Utobeer in Borough Market, London, I just had to give it a go. Well, it's like lightly fizzy full-fat milk, with a smooth creamy texture, and a subtle flowery, citrus tang to it. Sorta like a weissbeer mixed with a summer ale. Well worth the £2.80 a bottle to treat yourself after a warm summer evening in the gym. This Is Why You're Fat.

I've got really into 'analogue' games recently, having been without tv or xbox (or a home, for that matter) for about 6 months. Exercise and overindulgence, together at last. Saturday, 14 May 2011. I'm sat in The Rake, in Borough Market, taking advantage of their 150 kinds of beer. Yup; 150 beers in a bar the size of my bedroom. Most are in bottles displayed in the large fridges behind the bar, but there's also 7 taps of draught deliciousness. As the sign above the bar says; they've "no crap on tap," and for a beer enthusiast it's a treasure-trove of awesome (and its not overpriced like many other boozers in the area).
