Een kijkje in het leven van een familie die Down Under woont. Donderdag 4 oktober 2012. Vandaag is het weer lekker feest, want onze Bram is vandaag jarig. Hij is 12 geworden, waar blijft de tijd? Lekker op school trakteren, wat vriendjes over voor lunch en dan vrijdag feestje voor vrienden/familie en zaterdag het echte feestje voor de boys.(duim maar voor goed weer;-). Traditionele feestmuts en zingen. Traktatie voor school: brownie, mars-bar-slice, donuts en cupcakes: helemaal spekkie naar bekkie;-).

Een kijkje in het leven van een familie die Down Under woont. Dinsdag 10 april 2012. Alweer ons 2e Pasen in Nederland. Vorig jaar heerlijk zonnig en bbq-weer, ditmaal best koud en guur. Dus dan passen we ons toch gewoon aan;-). Maken we het binnen lekker gezellig. Lekker eieren schilderen en het paasontbijt. Zaterdag 7 april 2012. Een kijkje in het leven van een familie die Down Under woont. Maandag 29 oktober 2012. Ons kleine menneke heeft weer een mijlpaal bereikt: 4 jaar! Hij vond het heerlijk om in de belangstelling te staan en werd dan ook enorm verwend. Een kijkje in het leven van een familie die Down Under woont. Vrijdag 30 maart 2012. Hoogste tijd voor een posting van de wintersport. Door het mooie weer van de laatste weken, lijkt het wel een eeuw geleden! Maar het is toch echt slechts 4 weken geleden dat we op de skies stonden. Alle ingrediënten waren aanwezig: prachtig weer, lekker eten en fijn gezelschap en kids happy. Wat wil je nog meer? Gelukkig een bus bij ons voor al die bagage. -). Gaan met die banaan. Een kijkje in het leven van een familie die Down Under woont. Dinsdag 3 april 2012. In april 2010 kregen wij in Ozzie bezoek van Femke en Robert: een gezellig Nederlands stel die wij in Nieuw Zeeland (in februari 2010) kort hadden ontmoet. Zij waren destijds op wereldreis. Adres toen uitgewisseld voor het geval zij nog eens een slaapplek nodig hadden in Ozzie. Dit was niet tegen dovemans oren gezegd;-) en zij hebben toen een paar nachtjes bij ons geslapen, alvorens zij naar Argentinië zouden vliegen.

What can I say, the water is now officially cold and I resorted to a wetsuit. In other news, M played equal, F lost her game and little J turned four and can now start at the Dutch school in Sydney! The girls faced the best team in the group today, and this team was also from the neighbouring suburb, so they all knew each other really well, a great game to start the season. They lost big time but there wasn't a tear to be seen, the girls had a great game no matter what. Oh, to be four, such a perfect age:.

This week has been in the newspapers all over the world: Sydney had a lot of rain. We are all fine but the kids complained about having to walk to and from school in horizontal rain.so we picked them up a couple of times with the car. I didn't take it yet to some major outings, these are just the scenes around the block. Brand new colour scheme too, compared to the Canon:. Hopefully I can take this camera along on hikes and other places where it's just impractical to take a heavy weight along. It's not as fast though, when F is cantering past with great speed this camera struggles, and I can't see a thing in camera itself, everything is tiny! Today we did something we had not done ever before: instead of taking a ferry, we walked to the Basin in Pittwater. The Basin is a unique little spot: very sheltered and filled with wildlife. It is one of those hidden gems, far away from everything, but very close to the city. The water was ice cold so my swim was pretty short, but I did see a gorgeous stingray:. The walk itself was very easy, just 3 km each way, 6 km total ( with 162 meter hight difference between the end and start of the track):.
