A line of cars, exhausts smoking in the chill autumn air, is snaking its way round a courtyard that leads to a loading bay at the Abbey of Sint Sixtus at Westvleteren in Belgium. The news has got out: a new batch of beer is ready to be picked up. Dark brown with a ruby glint. Lovely rich chocolate digestive aroma, reminds me of Young's double chocolate stout.
