THE GOOD STUFF: September 2010
http://goodpeopleeats.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Wednesday, September 29, 2010. Although BD first brewed this a while back, Edge. Remained one of the few from their stable that I hadn't yet tried - until this afternoon. I was looking for a pleasant, lunchtime sesssioner, and found it in spades. At 3.2% abv, present-day Edge is a little stronger than when it first appeared (which I understand was around 2.7%abv! I enjoyed Edge in The Victoria, Leeds - should still be on now if you want to try it. Wednesday, September 29, 2010. Sunday, September 26, 2010.

THE GOOD STUFF: Copper Dragon Conqueror
http://goodpeopleeats.blogspot.com/2011/05/copper-dragon-conqueror.html
Tuesday, May 31, 2011. I'd been hearing incredibly positive whispers about Copper Dragon's. New beer for a few weeks now, so when it popped up on the bar at Veritas, I had to get my hands on some. 36%), on the surface, looks like your bog-standard pale ale; tight white head and soft amber colour, vaguely medieval pump clip*. Weaked; and I'm sure after you drink it, you will too. It's on at Veritas now. And yes, I know it's William the Conqueror. But you get my point. Tuesday, May 31, 2011. I tried this a...

THE GOOD STUFF: Quick Pea and Ham Risotto with Birra Del Borgo Genziana
http://goodpeopleeats.blogspot.com/2011/06/quick-pea-and-ham-risotto-with-birra.html
Sunday, June 12, 2011. Quick Pea and Ham Risotto with Birra Del Borgo Genziana. I love Risottos. Cheap, easy to make, they can be as complex as you want them to be; a quick storecupboard supper, or a sumptous feast to be labored over on the stove-top. This week, time was at a premium, so quick and easy it was. Pea and Ham, that old classic, doesn't need boiled ham hock to make it perfect. We enjoyed this with a bottle of Birra Del Borgo's Genziana. 62%abv), which is a funny beer to categorise; the word '...

THE GOOD STUFF: Dos Amigos - Tapas bar none...
http://goodpeopleeats.blogspot.com/2007/09/dos-amigos-tapas-bar-none.html
Sunday, September 30, 2007. Dos Amigos - Tapas bar none. I'll be honest here; I couldn’t hide trepidation as we drove through Kirkstall. I loved. It was a special place, a warm, authentic Tapas joint in a city that sadly lacked them. Inside the new ‘Dos Amigos’, little has changed. The same charming, tiny room, the same friendly staff (well, in attitude, anyway), the same Mediterranean music bringing back memories of holidays in Spain, Greece and Turkey. But what of the food? The star of the show was a d...

THE GOOD STUFF: Lightside/DarkSide: St Austell Proper Job & Proper Black
http://goodpeopleeats.blogspot.com/2011/06/lightsidedarkside-st-austell-proper-job.html
Sunday, June 05, 2011. Lightside/DarkSide: St Austell Proper Job and Proper Black. It's taken me a while to post this up; I just had. To wait to do a side-by-side comparison when a brewer makes a light and dark version of the same beer. St Austell. That Cornish bedrock of the eponymous Tribute, have always had a few secret weapons up their sleeve; Admiral's Ale is a fantastically complex drop, and you'll find a secret fan club for Proper Job. What makes Proper Job. Is on at North Bar. Ive not tried any o...

THE GOOD STUFF: November 2010
http://goodpeopleeats.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Monday, November 29, 2010. SummerWine P6 #6 and Crown's Brooklyn Heights. Like buses, you wait ages for one and two show up at the same time. Foley's had both these gems on over the weekend, and I managed to taste both today. First up, Crown's. A 58% US-inspired pale that I've been wanting to taste for a while (. Final Project 6 IPA. As the sip continues, P6 Brew 6 certainly lets you know it's an IPA. Check out both breweries' blogs too; both are enlightening as well as entertaining. Labels: beer in leeds.
