The Buffalo Digest: walter.
http://thebuffalodigest.blogspot.com/2011/03/walter.html
A celebration of the harvest. Thursday, March 31, 2011. Sometimes you just miss. It can happen two times in a row. And even when its not your fault, the arrow or the bullet or the whatever metaphor you want to insert just doesn’t go where it is supposed to go. There isn’t a reason, it’s just that these things happen to people. Am I even an adult? The pretense is mind-blowing. I started writing a short story called Walter. March 31, 2011 at 9:54 PM. April 1, 2011 at 1:40 AM. Good to see you posting again.
The Buffalo Digest: April 2010
http://thebuffalodigest.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
A celebration of the harvest. Tuesday, April 27, 2010. I just purchased Three Islands. I remember she never corrected my punctuation, which made me feel pretty good. She did hate the passive voice, I remember, and I’m still pretty lazy about correcting it. To be truthful, I still have to look back at my old grammar handbook that I was forced to purchase five years ago to even realize the difference. What do you have to actually. And I think that I’m ok with ‘I don’t know’ for now. Thursday, April 22, 2010.
The Buffalo Digest: November 2009
http://thebuffalodigest.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
A celebration of the harvest. Monday, November 9, 2009. However, if I were here for dignity, I would have quit months ago. Also, if I were here to catch fish, I would have quit months ago. . 160; . Why don’t you just take a break to enjoy the scenery and let some guy who thinks he knows what he is doing wave his stick around so we can make a fool out of him instead.” Then I wouldn’t be wasting my time getting my hopes up thinking “THIS IS THE CAST! Fish is recognized is when it loses. Cold ...
The Buffalo Digest: naked and pure.
http://thebuffalodigest.blogspot.com/2010/03/naked-and-pure.html
A celebration of the harvest. Wednesday, March 10, 2010. To write. But they all want to be writers. That famous quote, ‘the hardest part about writing is starting and not stopping.’ I’ve always thought that there is one major similarity between real writers and lawyers. Both have an immeasurable capacity to do boring stuff. Because when life is standing before you, naked and pure, take a mental picture. Have . And the answer to the question is to go fishing. March 11, 2010 at 3:26 PM. I agree with Dan.
The Buffalo Digest: October 2009
http://thebuffalodigest.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
A celebration of the harvest. Friday, October 30, 2009. At this point of the thought process, my mind wandered back to opening weekend (last post). I suppose that I imagined this season to be the year it all came together with me and the bow. More time on the stand, thorough scouting, more mastery of the bow, and weather that seemed like it was cooperating at just the right time. The dream season. . Thursday, October 22, 2009. One book that I am reading right now is Zen in the Art of Archery. I would lik...
The Buffalo Digest: January 2010
http://thebuffalodigest.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
A celebration of the harvest. Tuesday, January 5, 2010. Tools that perform the same task in different ways. . Or, the difference between a graphite and bamboo rod. The bamboo rod is slower, more delicate, more organic, more calculated, and requires a definitive sense of process and result. The graphite is more of a brute, the result of years of development and error, requiring of the beginning angler only a few hours . I would love to hear your thoughts. . And, you can tell a lot about a man by his boo...
The Buffalo Digest: February 2010
http://thebuffalodigest.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
A celebration of the harvest. Wednesday, February 17, 2010. I have since moved back to Tennessee and have switched focus from whitetails to the beginnings of the growing season, turkeys, and the rod and reel. For turkeys, the goal is simple. I have never taken a bird and am committed to success this March and April. This is all dependent on the strength of my interest in a month, but that is the idea for now. The fun part is the full freezer in conjunction with the garden. Sam and I went back to the ...

The Buffalo Digest: the inbetween.
http://thebuffalodigest.blogspot.com/2010/03/inbetween.html
A celebration of the harvest. Friday, March 12, 2010. I also like to plan a trip or two to the gulf. Usually I can go fish with Sam or Clay in the salt, and Clay and I really want to experience some night fishing with cork and shrimp for speckled trout. Hopefully his brother will show us the ropes (and the lines, and the bait, and the fish…). . Good But nonetheless, catching fish is better than not catching fish, even if it means making a few friends that you would rather not have. This purist, however,...

August 10, 2010 · 4:33 pm. Urge, but no overkill. On Sunday we went to Urge. A new “American gastropub” that opened a week ago and is tucked away in a Rancho Bernardo strip mall, and we are happy to give the place a hearty thumbs-up. Urge has 50 beers. On tap, plus a cask, and the offerings were very good, including Pliny the Elder, Racer X, Festina Peche, Old Viscosity, Sierra Nevada Brown, a cask of Stone IPA with coriander and dozens more. The bar area is large and airy, with high ceilings and plenty ...

Bridging the gap between beer and cake! Making your own Wort Chiller! Bull;March 23, 2013 • Leave a Comment. Hat I’m going to talk about today is nothing new to a homebrewer. We all know that we have to cool our wort. Down pretty fast after the boil. Ow since one of my brew buddies bought a Blichmann Therminator. I can use it when we brew together saving me some time, headache and money. Now hold on, what is this Blichman Thermawhatever you ask? Well in Charlie Papazian’. 8211; Put the wort chiller into ...

Beer And Candlelight | An Uncensored Look At A Woman
These aren’t those bleating goats. No Siree! They are those invisible metaphorical goats whose horns keep poking at you something fierce about stuff that irks you at the very least and makes you want to take a sledgehammer to stuff at times. So back to all my irks…and there are quite a few…dirty nails, people who think from between their legs all the time, those who can’t hold their liquor and make crude passes, bitchy people…you name it and it irks! She had vaguely pointed towards the playground equipme...
