The Beer Gazette

Tuesday, February 19, 2008. My apologies for being so.well American! I have reviewed nothing but American made beers, save for the Red Stripe, and I am sure that some of you might think I am not using the resources made available to me. Do not worry, I have 3 Belgian beers in reserve and a couple German beers as well. Not to mention the English beers I have yet to, well, purchase, but that will come with time. Labels: Letters from the Editor. Sweetwater 420 Extra Pale Ale. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

The Beer Gazette: Sweetwater IPA

http://beergazette.blogspot.com/2008/02/sweetwater-ipa.html

Sunday, February 17, 2008. It is even sweeter with a great beer! It is primarily available in Georgia, but is branching out its distribution to the surrounding southeastern states (sorry Yanks, but you do have some other fine beers not available down here). It is my great pleasure to start off with the aroma of this beer. It smells like a citrus-y flower blooming on a warm spring day! Mix that with a prominent hops aroma and it makes for one dandy smell, kind of like honeysuckle.only not! Skip the froste...

The Beer Gazette: Hop Shortage, HomeBrewers Okay

http://beergazette.blogspot.com/2008/02/hop-shortage-homebrewers-okay.html

Sunday, February 17, 2008. Hop Shortage, HomeBrewers Okay. It is a sad day indeed when you start to notice the price of your favorite beer begin to rise. It is even sadder when you know that it is going to get worse before it gets better. Labels: Letters from the Editor. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Will not drink again! Not a good beer, but passes as a beer. Will quench your thirst, but would not drink regularly. Middle of the road. Good Beer, would recommend. Great Beer, would drink regularly.

The Beer Gazette: Sweetwater 420 Extra Pale Ale

http://beergazette.blogspot.com/2008/02/sweetwater-420-extra-pale-ale.html

Tuesday, February 19, 2008. Sweetwater 420 Extra Pale Ale. Someone once said that too much of a good thing.is a good thing. And I have to say that I agree with that person in the case of the Sweetwater folks here in Atlanta. I really enjoyed the IPA so I figured, "What the heck? If it ain't broke, don't fix it! What I mean by that is I have some of the Trappist beers in my "beer cellar" in my garage, thanks to David with his article, Aargh! Here we go with the aroma! Would I recommend this beer? Love all...

Saturday, February 9, 2008. Flying Dog Classic Pale Ale. Okay, so the name jumps out at you a little bit. The founders of the brewery, George Stranahan and Richard McIntyre, were a. Cquaintances of the late, great Hunter S. Thompson, whom we all know as Raul Duke from Fear and Loathing in. With an associate like that, Flying Dog is not a very strange name at all. Eir campsite (flyingdogales.com). I am not sur. E what exactly it was that they were drinking, but I would like to sample it! The next thing yo...

One selection from the road (near Waldport, OR). For now the big news is that I decided to join the Mad Alchemy / Verge Grassroots Cycloross team. I guess I won’t get to enjoy the team tent, but hopefully the power of embrocation will be sufficient. Anyway, cyclocross training is underway, and hopefully I’ll start updating this more…. I am the Champions! Can you guess which is which (note: I snapped a frame this year). Race Reports are for Suckers. Read the rest of this entry ». Bay Area Super Prestige.
