First brew in the bottles and lessons learned | Beerlicious
https://beerlicious.wordpress.com/2010/03/23/first-brew-in-the-bottles-and-lessons-learned
Beer views and home brew in the 'Lou. First brew in the bottles and lessons learned. March 23, 2010. Be sure to remember. Including your hands, and be careful what you touch. I can’t remember how many times I touched something, like the dog, or set something down and had to sanitize again. During bottling we kept a basin of bleach water to re-sanitize things as we needed. That was a good idea and we’ll probably try to do that next time we brew. Be sure to pick up…. We didn’t have a good thermometer.

Beer views and home brew in the 'Lou. Beer #2 Is done and it’s ……OK. April 25, 2010. First the photo. My wife thinks it’s funny to photo bomb. Family members. Well this time the joke is on her. It’s on the internet, and a whole two people will see this picture. Well there’s the beer. Now we’re left with a puzzling question. What do you do with 50 bottles of beer you don’t like? Save it for company? I’ve had beer I didn’t like before, but usually only a six pack….not a case. From → Home Brew. Jolly Ranche...

Home Brew Magazines | Beerlicious
https://beerlicious.wordpress.com/2010/04/11/home-brew-magazines
Beer views and home brew in the 'Lou. April 11, 2010. My wife is a big fan of magazines. We generally go to Barnes and Noble and she ends up with a stack of magazines on a huge variety of topics. This last time I went I decided to see if there were any beer magazines, or more specifically, any home brew magazines. To my surprise there were quite a few. I ended up picking up two; Brew Your Own. There were a handful of magazines, but these two had some articles that I wanted to read more than others. Mark ...

Beer views and home brew in the 'Lou. April 10, 2010. The St. Louis Microfest. Is coming up in a few weeks. This is an event I missed last year, but after talking to people who went to both the Microfest and Heritage Fest, everyone agreed Microfest was a much better event. Don’t get me wrong, the Heritage Fest was amazing, and I plan on going again, if their date ever gets announced. Advanced tickets are $27, and $35 at the door, so get yours soon! From → Events. The Beer Library | Non-Beer experts review brews from around the world.
Non-Beer experts review brews from around the world. What’s in the Queue. Flying Dog Kerberos Tripel. July 12, 2008. The nose on this is very fruity with a sweet maltiness. Much like the nose this starts off with a smooth malt and fruit notes with a light alcohol that hits in the middle, but not warming, then finishes with a hint of bitterness. This is a good tripel that is a good drink now and could be something special with some aging. Seek it out and set a few back. Filed in Brown Bottle. June 30, 2008.

Beer views and home brew in the 'Lou. May 9, 2010. Beer #3: Dogfish Head IPA Clone. Out third beer is in the fermenter. We decided to try a clone of the Dogfish Head 60-minute IPA. Don’t worry. We didn’t sneak into the brewery to steal the recipe. We found in Sam Calagione’s own book,. After the somewhat disappointing Weizenbier, we decided to move back to beer we knew would like, IPA’s. We made some intentional, and unintentional modifications to the recipe. 7lbs Light Malt Extract. April 25, 2010.
