Philly Beer Girl: Dominion Oak Barrel Stout
http://phillybeergirl.blogspot.com/2013/01/dominion-oak-barrel-stout.html
January 16, 2013. Dominion Oak Barrel Stout. Out of Dover, DE. Luck was on my side and he gave me a couple of samples of their brews - Oak Barrel Stoute and Double D IPA. Both were really good, and got me wondering why I don't see them on tap in Philly. This post won't answer that question, but it will give you my impressions of the Old Barrel Stout. Philly Beer Girl: January 2012
http://phillybeergirl.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
January 8, 2012. The only reason I need it to be cold at least one weekend day is because I bought a supercool, super heavy sweater that I can't wear to work (it's more casual than what I'd wear to work) and I'd really like to wear at least once! However, hitting an age like 40 does get you thinking. I've never been one to plan out my life, and through all the ups and downs, I've been pretty happy with how my life is going. I believe we all have the answer inside of us. Good luck! Learn more about beer.

Philly Beer Girl: December 2010
http://phillybeergirl.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
December 27, 2010. This will be my last post of 2010. I know this because I'm leaving for Iowa tomorrow (joining John) and won't be home until after the new year. I'm also not bringing my computer, and that makes it even more certain I won't be writing while I'm there. This will be short and sweet because every time I start writing about the year I find myself writing about things I don't really want to put down here. No, 2010 was not what I expected, but when is life ever what you expect? I've been conv...

Philly Beer Girl: A Worthy Beer
http://phillybeergirl.blogspot.com/2013/01/a-worthy-beer.html
January 9, 2013. I was out in Minneapolis for New Years Eve. As I said to anyone who would listen, who doesn't want to go to the midwest in December/January? While I'm sure you're not interested in the thinness of my blood, you may be interested in a tasty beverage I had while I was out there - Fulton's Worthy Adversary. You could easily get yourself in to trouble with this beer, especially if you don't realize how big it is going in to it. January 15, 2013 at 8:51 PM. January 16, 2013 at 3:22 PM.

Philly Beer Girl: My best beer moments of 2012
http://phillybeergirl.blogspot.com/2013/01/my-best-beer-moments-of-2012.html
January 2, 2013. My best beer moments of 2012. Let me start off by saying I had a lot of great beer in 2012. A lot of it. But since I don't feel prepared to write about all of my favorites, instead I'll write about my favorite beer moments from throughout the year. 3) Having Pliny the Younger (on a separate night than the one mentioned above) as well as Hopslam. Talk about a good night of drinking! At Closed For Business (SC). Beer Scene Awards at WCL. 5) In May, Philly Beer Scene. 6) Philly Beer Week.

Philly Beer Girl: September 2011
http://phillybeergirl.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
September 23, 2011. The most wonderful time of the year. Today is the first day of autumn. My favorite time of year! The leaves change colors, the air gets cooler, sweaters come out. It's also Oktoberfest - and more importantly, to me - pumpkin beer time. I know some people complain about the fact that pumpkin beers are available at the beginning of September, saying it's too early. I don't feel that way at all. Bring them out in July and I'd be happy! Dogfish Head Punkin Ale. Post Road Pumpkin Ale.

Philly Beer Girl: Philly Beergasm
http://phillybeergirl.blogspot.com/2013/03/philly-beergasm.html
March 18, 2013. I love when I get the chance to do some good with my writing. So when Sam Watson of Collaborate Philly reached out to me about sharing the news about a charity event I was happy to say yes. Even better, it's a charity event that involves beer! Spodee will be on hand with their wine/beer cocktails. There will be live music, a raffle, a free tour of Yards Brewing for attendees, activities like "Cream Your Own Cupcake," and much more. Philly Beer Girl: Why I Love Philly
http://phillybeergirl.blogspot.com/2012/12/why-i-love-philly.html
December 17, 2012. Why I Love Philly. Recently, the Travel Channel featured the episode of Anthony Bourdain's The Layover. It got me thinking about why I love Philly as much as I do. Sure, there are problems. Our transit system isn't that great, regardless of what Anthony said. Our public schools are mostly failing. There are a lot of homeless people and panhandlers. But I don't want to focus on what's wrong. I want to focus on what's right. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Learn more about beer.
