Ben and I were on a walk last week and we were talking about weight loss and how neither of us feel we've lost as much as we would have liked prior to our honeymoon. His co-worker claims that his girlfriend goes on the diet before every vacation and her grandmother does this 3 times a year and it helps her arthritis. Master Cleanse Diet = Master Scam. Anyway, if you don't feel like reading these articles I'll summarize. Make your detox elixr. Lemon is sim...

Tri-alethlete: October 2011
http://drewsroadtoironman.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Monday, October 31, 2011. Occasionally a coworker will bring a treat to the office to share with everyone, donuts or cookies or something, which positively makes my day. Nothing is better than finding a platter of deliciousness or a box of yummy goodness out on the counter in our company kitchen, but I hate, hate, HATE IT when someone just breaks a piece of something off without taking the whole thing. I mean, really? Thus endeth the rant for today, sorry it was sort of an angry one. A few evenings ago A...

Tri-alethlete: June 2011

Thursday, June 23, 2011. Where Have You Been? So normally this is about the time of year when my triathlon season would be starting to heat up, yet I'm sure you've noticed that the blog has been oddly quiet. You're probably wondering about the lack of activity, asking yourself where are are all the posts about training, racing, brewing, and the other goings-on in my life, and I figured I owe you a quick explanation. So why am I taking this season off? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Where Have You Been?

Tri-alethlete: September 2011
http://drewsroadtoironman.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Friday, September 23, 2011. Last Saturday I metaphorically kicked myself in the nuts. Hard. This epic sack-pounding came in the form of a little workout called Fight Gone Bad, and it is oh-so-painful. Well it's not. After BJ tried the workout for the first time, he collapsed on his back at the end and said it was like "a fight gone bad." The name stuck. The five stations are as follows:. 20 pound wall-ball squat-throws (must hit 10ft). 75 pound sumo deadlift high pull. 20 inch box jumps. Yeahmine was 268...

Tri-alethlete: Off the Grid
http://drewsroadtoironman.blogspot.com/2012/06/off-grid.html
Saturday, June 16, 2012. Today Ali and I went to a graduation party for Ali's cousin, Sarah. It was a great time, we had an absolute blast hanging out with friends and family. The only downer is that my cell phone didn't survive the occasion. I looked at the screen and saw the words "WIPING" with a progress bar marching steadily towards 100%. When it reached completion, the phone shut down, then re-booted, at which point it was completely, totally, utterly fried. No phone service, no email, no wi...

My Super Confidant(e): Urn's Wedding Decor Ideas- Pomanders
http://mysuperconfidante.blogspot.com/2010/06/urns-wedding-decor-ideas-pomanders.html
Tuesday, June 8, 2010. Urn's Wedding Decor Ideas- Pomanders. My theme of this group of pictures is the idea that I think you like. I think it's playful and elegant. If you're looking for DIY websites on how to make these groupings of carnations, use the phrase "pomander." Let me know what you think. Simple hanging pomanders. You can hang them over the church pews, or you could put them on a pedestal as a topiary up on the altar. I'm not a huge fan of topiaries unless they are really big. The Way I Like It.

Monthly Archives: October 2009. October 3, 2009 · 11:33 pm. Review: Dogfish Head Punkin Ale. Photo: http:/ www.dogfish.com. The Punkin Ale is billed as a brown ale, and I guess it fits that bill, depending on one’s definition. For what it’s worth, it looks exactly like Bass Ale. Transparent, caramel tint. Smelled like typical brown ale upon first sniff. But, once poured out of the bottle, it really opened up to reveal the brown sugar and spices. Quite cider-y! A Brewer's Journey.

My Super Confidant(e): If I could do crafts all day, I would
http://mysuperconfidante.blogspot.com/2009/12/if-i-could-do-crafts-all-day-i-would.html
Friday, December 18, 2009. If I could do crafts all day, I would. Letter press- old printers box. I saw a bunch of these old printer's boxes at an antique store in Buffalo. If I can talk Ben into getting some, I might try to turn it into a table for my sewing and crafting. it would make a great thread and needle drawer. Otherwise, it would be fun to do what this. We wanted from Crate and Barrel. This would be a great winter project! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Heather eats almond butter.
