Beer Vs Beer 9: Local Coffee. That’s right. Each of these beers uses coffee roasted in the Triangle, and two of them even use the same blend from the same roaster. As craft breweries go, Burial Beer Co. In Asheville, NC is a small operation. So the fact that its Skillet Donut Stout made it as far out as Raleigh is remarkable, and the fact that I got my hands on some is even more so. Flights: Preparing For Take Off. Though I had no hand in constructing these, I did spend some time staining them. There were gloves and mineral spirits, which apparently aren’t the drinking kind. There was also polyurethane topcoat, also not drinkable, I guess. Let’s look at how all those ingredients combined to make some snazzy looking flights for future Beer Vs Beers. Mineral spirits wipe down first. Mineral Spirits (paint thinner). Oil and Polyurethane Topcoat (I used General Finishes Arm-R-Seal).
