Beer Widow: A wine lover in a beer snob's world

Beer Widow: A wine lover in a beer snob's world. Sunday, May 19, 2013. Tanned skin and a new favorite beer: A Hawaiian Getaway. No one who knows me or reads this blog will be surprised to learn that a vacation with no inherent beer-related focus became just another part of my ongoing beer education. It finds me wherever I go! I imagine this turtle making airplane noises as he swims. Kona Koko Brown is my new favorite brown ale, and maybe even beer in general. It tastes like toffee - need I say more?

Beer Widow: A wine lover in a beer snob's world. Tuesday, October 25, 2011. Stone Brewing Co, making my life better since 2006. In my previous spotlight review,. I hope I made it clear that I love Stone Brewing Company, even though I never liked any of their beers. Note the past tense "liked" because now I do like one, and need to recheck them all! Beer Widow: A wine lover in a beer snob's world. Wednesday, August 31, 2011. Finish this sentence: If you ever see me drinking a Bud Lite Lime. One of my most excellent friends sent me a link to this e-card, I assume in response to my "Our Friends, the Enablers". Local Brewery Spotlight: Stone Brewing Company. Http:/ www.stonebrew.com/visit/. Just kidding, here's the link. His (Alesmith X) and hers (Stone Cali-belgique). Always a good time, at Stone bistro with friends. Beer Widow: A wine lover in a beer snob's world: Not-so-local Hangout: Lion's Pride

http://www.beerwidow.blogspot.com/2012/08/not-so-local-hangout-lions-pride.html

Beer Widow: A wine lover in a beer snob's world. Tuesday, August 7, 2012. Not-so-local Hangout: Lion's Pride. Note: This is a long overdue post! This visit took place in October. Spoiler alert - Reed and I both loved this place. It made me declare myself a fellow beer snob (for a night at least) and he still says it's his favorite bar, even though it's 3,000 miles away from where we live. And we're not the only ones, it has a 100 point rating on Beer Advocate. We drove through much of New Hampshire, enjo...

Beer Widow: A wine lover in a beer snob's world: September 2011

http://www.beerwidow.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html

Beer Widow: A wine lover in a beer snob's world. Wednesday, September 28, 2011. I've been a mix of busy and uninspired recently, thus the lack of new blog posts. This in no way means that my life is not still completely ruled by beer. I went away for a quick trip to Anza Borrego Desert State Park this weekend with some girlfriends and returned to this in my garage. On our way out to the desert we stopped in at Julian Hard Cider. Don't judge a liquor store by its exterior. 750mls of Duchesse de Bourgogne!

Beer Widow: A wine lover in a beer snob's world: Almost-local Brewery Spotlight - The Bruery

http://www.beerwidow.blogspot.com/2012/08/almost-local-brewery-spotlight-bruery.html

Beer Widow: A wine lover in a beer snob's world. Wednesday, August 29, 2012. Almost-local Brewery Spotlight - The Bruery. Even though The Bruery is only 4 years old, this felt like a long overdue visit. Reed and I, along with some friends, made the drive up to Orange County to check out both the tasting room and Provisions, a fancy bottle shop and cafe run by the same people. The two locations could hardly be more different, and I loved them both. For lunch we walked up the street to Bruxie. A busy place...

Beer, Whiskey and Pizza Investing Club | An investing club where people can discuss (respectfully) investing and trading ideas

Beer, Whiskey and Pizza Investing Club. An investing club where people can discuss (respectfully) investing and trading ideas. August 14, 2015. Happy Friday everyone. In Fort Worth, last day of vacation. Not sure if people reading this board have ever been to Ft Worth, but it is a town that is pretty neat. I could definitely live here, the downtown (Sundance Square) is very vibrant. Lots of clubs and music here. The food is terrific. August 13, 2015. August 12, 2015. August 11, 2015. August 10, 2015.

The Good Stuff: Beer, Whisk(e)y and Food. A blog about my favorite things, plus whatever else I feel like talking about. Sunday, February 15, 2015. Lyon Hall (Clarendon, Arlington, VA). Check us out on Facebook. Apparently reservations at good restaurants are tough to get for Valentine's Day around here, unless you make them a month or two ahead of time. So, I was lucky to snag one just a couple weeks in advance at Lyon Hall. We started off with a special appetizer, the Seared Hudson Valley Foie Gras.
