When I have time to craft, here it is! Thursday, December 29, 2011. Like I need MORE inspiration! Look what came in the mail today! I can't wait to try it! I cannot express my love of Oliver S. Patterns and this book is packed with great ideas! They are so well written and this book is a great way to teach yourself how to sew. No detail is left out! This was compliments of an Amazon gift card from my husband's cousin, Danielle - thanks, Dani! I PROMISE I will have Christmas projects up soon! As I finish ...
Bee's Needles: A Little Pampering? Yes, Please!
http://www.beesneedles.com/2012/01/little-pampering-yes-please.html
When I have time to craft, here it is! Tuesday, January 3, 2012. A couple of the gifts I put together were items that would hopefully help with relaxation and one of my favorite comforts - food! Both of these ideas were taken from Pinterest. One of my new favorite addictions and I'm sure it's yours, too! The first was a Peppermint Scrub. Made primarily with sugar. While it goes against my feelings about food coloring, it was just a drop for color and it wasn't being digested! I also made my dear dad a co...
Bee's Needles: January 2012
http://www.beesneedles.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
When I have time to craft, here it is! Tuesday, January 17, 2012. My sizing for little girls clothes is slightly limited, seeing as how I currently have only two sizes. Of course, I have occasionally sewn for a couple of smaller friends, but generally, I'm stuck in a 4/5 or very slim, tall 7/8. In order to branch out my skills, I enlisted the help of my beautiful niece, L! I made this for her from a Simplicity pattern (that the number is torn off of! The fabric used was from Michael Miller Gypsy Bandana.

Smith Family Fun: May 2010
http://kaylee710.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Monday, May 17, 2010. Well Kaylee came down with a fever last night. We haven't been to the doctor nearly as much this year as we did last year which is where the lucky part comes in. Last year we went at the very least once a month between November 2008 and May 2009. That is not including the ENT visits and having tubes. OOOh and on top of the fever and rash - she is cutting her two year molars. Keep in mind she will be 3 in less than 2 months! Friday, May 14, 2010. From that day - sometimes I noticed t...

Friday, June 11, 2010. I really enjoy summer! Kaylee is at a new school for 7 weeks and is LOVING it! She also started gymnastics last week and is enjoying that as well. They really aren't doing a whole lot - but she wakes up several times a week asking to go. Right now it is once a week for about 45 minutes. In the fall we will add ballet. She will have 2 nights a week that she has something going on! Lucy is fitting in well with the family and I am slowly getting used to her being there. Thomas picked ...
Vanilla Cake with Strawberry Cream Frosting - Perry's Plate
http://www.perrysplate.com/2009/05/vanilla-cake-with-strawberry-cream-frosting.html
May 28, 2009. Vanilla Cake with Strawberry Cream Frosting. UPDATE 5.23.12:. I did a variation of this recipe, cutting it in half and using blueberries instead of strawberries for her 5th birthday. We also live in a much higher and drier climate. Click here to see how it turned out! Last year she ate chocolate cake by handfuls, broke out in a rash from getting it all over herself, then threw it all up an hour later. Happy 1st Birthday! They’re not that hard, I promise.) The cake turned out delic...1/2 c s...
