Crazy Mother Nester (TTC): Infertility Wound
http://crazymothernester.blogspot.com/2013/02/infertility-wound.html
Crazy Mother Nester (TTC). Follow my sometimes bumpy, sometimes neurotic journey to mommyhood. Wednesday, February 6, 2013. I occasionally wonder what type of wound infertility is akin to. I like comparisons, so say in bodily injuries people always say the death of someone close is like losing a part of themselves (some say a left hand, their heart, their eyes whatever.) I've had people close to me die so I understand that comparison. I also got all "I should exercise! So that being said it probably isn'...

Crazy Mother Nester (TTC). Follow my sometimes bumpy, sometimes neurotic journey to mommyhood. Wednesday, February 6, 2013. If you're watching Parenthood on TV (or like me and devouring it on Netflix) you should stop here if you're still in Season 1, or early in Season 2. Actually, stop here unless you're finished because we're going into Season 3. Okay, this is your last warning, there are spoilers afoot. Definite no for sad personal reasons. I occasionally wonder what type of wound infertility is akin ...

Crazy Mother Nester (TTC): August 2012
http://crazymothernester.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Crazy Mother Nester (TTC). Follow my sometimes bumpy, sometimes neurotic journey to mommyhood. Friday, August 17, 2012. Today two things have "struck me" so to speak. AF is expected 19th, so I started testing already because I'm like a dog lately and peeing on things gives me a false sense of accomplishment. Those are negative, of course. Thursday, August 16, 2012. Sadly, I'm sure it'll just wind up being PMS. Shouldn't you feel pregnant? Friday, August 10, 2012. Maybe Baby Girl Edition. Daughters. D...

Crazy Mother Nester (TTC): January 2013
http://crazymothernester.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Crazy Mother Nester (TTC). Follow my sometimes bumpy, sometimes neurotic journey to mommyhood. Thursday, January 24, 2013. I haven't really updated this thing quite like I wanted, mostly because I've been feeling extra whiny. Lately I've gone from whiny to terrified about the idea of my mortality, so we'll just talk about that instead of my insane, seething jealously of all the pregnancy ladies. Now as an adult I only get the mortality blues once in a while, I got over the constant fear of dying after lo...

Something Out of Nothing. From 0 sperm to a family of three. Newer posts →. My Mother’s Recipe #MicroblogMondays. April 18, 2016. Last Thursday, not realizing the date (or perhaps because, on some level, I did realize), I pulled my mom’s cookbook (a 3-ring binder full of her favorite recipes she titled “Fun in the Kitchen with Mama”–so cheesy! Six years. Gone. Better to hold her memory always, in the thousand little things she taught me, in how she influences my own mothering daily. April 16, 2016. Duckl...

Poems | Something Out of Nothing
https://soonafamily.wordpress.com/poems
Something Out of Nothing. From 0 sperm to a family of three. I’ve been publishing a poem a month since I started my blog. Many of these poems have had a second or third look in my writing group, so they have changed (hopefully for the better) since I first posted them here. I have included on this page the original version as well as the updated version (when applicable). I’ll continue to add to this page as I write new poems and make changes/improvements. I’m starting to see myself as I am: a woman.

Something Out of Nothing. From 0 sperm to a family of three. A List of Lists →. The Places We’ll Go. July 21, 2015. Where you go, I will go. But those dreams rarely unfold as we imagine. Everything seemed to be harder and take longer than we had planned. We spent all our savings on one round of IVF/ICSI that didn’t take. Hubby’s job search dragged on for years, until he was nearly ready to give up on academia all together. My high school Spanish teacher gave me a copy of Dr. Seuss’s. Waiting for the fish...

Who? | Something Out of Nothing
https://soonafamily.wordpress.com/who
Something Out of Nothing. From 0 sperm to a family of three. Dr K is Hubby’s urologist here. He specializes in fertility, but he doesn’t have a lot of experience with Hubby’s condition (actually, he has zero experience with Hubby’s condition). Dr C is the RE who will (eventually) help us get preggers. Dr N is my new(ish) therapist. Still trying to figure out if she’s the right fit for me. Zappa is my little sister, who has a ten-year-old daughter. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here.
