Saira's madhouse: January 2009
http://sairas-madhouse.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Friday, 2 January 2009. What was I thinking? Now that Christmas is over and I've finished the clapotis I decided to cast on something new. I have started a pair of socks in the yarn that I got from Mum and Dad for xmas and boy is it bright! I was just going to do a plain pair but I need something to stop it being boring so I am doing the Yarn Harlots Earl Grey socks. Just enough pattern to make it interesting to knit but not too much to get lost in all that colour. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Saira's madhouse: Part Two (life and a little knitting!)
http://sairas-madhouse.blogspot.com/2009/03/part-two-life-and-little-knitting.html
Sunday, 15 March 2009. Part Two (life and a little knitting! Here are a few pictures, we took hundreds! I have a bit of knitting news too. I finished the seawool scarf from last months Yarn Forward magazine using the seasilk I bought back in January at the Posh meet. It is amazingly slinky and lovely. My only small niggle is that I wish I had made the scarf a bit bigger, I had enough yarn but followed the pattern instead of my instincts, even so its a very wearable scarf. I have also cracked the wheel!

Saira's madhouse: Part one (knitting)
http://sairas-madhouse.blogspot.com/2009/03/part-one-knitting.html
Friday, 6 March 2009. The other item is really exciting, because its a crocheted neckwarmer and the yarn is my own handspun. I'm still spinning chunky but at least its fairly evenly chunky. The fibre is from Freyalyn and I got it as part of the Posh swap last year. This hasn't stopped me buying fibre of course. I managed to grab some fibre on Davids last update on Come in Spinner. On Esty. its merino and the colour is Midnight. Really love the yarn you've spun! 7 March 2009 at 08:41. Hi Josiekitten, I ha...

Saira's madhouse: July 2011
http://sairas-madhouse.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 12 July 2011. Such a happy day. As I mentioned in my previous post D and I renewed our wedding vows in May this year. On our 17th wedding anniversary we did it all again at the Archbishops Palace. In Maidstone. It was a wonderful day, the weather was perfect, unlike the first time round. It was also a lot smaller with just 40 of our closest friends and family. We came back to the house for a BBQ afterwards which ended with a singalong in the garden. I couldn't have asked for more. Gosh, that was...

Saira's madhouse: June 2011
http://sairas-madhouse.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Monday, 27 June 2011. I came back to my much neglected blog the other day and had a read back to some of the older entries. It turns out it was very enlightening, I was able to track back and realised that things had happened on completely different dates than I thought they had. My memory is obviously not as good as I had assumed it was. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). I am a slightly deranged mother of two girls, never organised but desperately trying to be! Thursday, 5 November 2009. Just to let anyone who happens across the blog know that I am still out here! I just haven't been blogging for a while. Its too easy to let time fly by and not do an update and theres also the fact that I am too easily distracted by other things. Anyway I shall bugger off now and hopefully post again soon. Saira's madhouse: Tummy Troubles
http://sairas-madhouse.blogspot.com/2011/07/tummy-troubles.html
Saturday, 2 July 2011. He had a tube inserted into his chest and started to be fed through that. They also finally got his pain sorted out and he was put onto something that actually worked. He was in Medway for three months before being admitted to UCH London at the end of July. He stayed in UCH for another month and then finally came home. The tube was removed and he started a mission to gain weight. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Follow me on Twitter. Such a happy day.

Saira's madhouse: October 2008
http://sairas-madhouse.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 28 October 2008. I really must blog more often, this is going to be a long picture heavy post and all because I left it too long between updating. I also bought some yummy fibre, deep green BFL from Hipknits and some merino/silk in blue from Fybrespates. I have spun half of each so far and plyed them together, once I have spun the other half I am going to make a simple roll brim hat. I'm quite excited as it will be the first thing I've actually made from my spinning. Tuesday, 7 October 2008.
