Living it up in Fun Central. Published Friday, 23 December, 2011. Today, we made and baked holiday biscotti (biscotti with lemon zest, pistachios, and cranberries) and gingerbread. The house smells AMAZING! For dinner I am making a roasted shallot, pepper, and tomato tart, YUM! Some of the biscotti are form Pen’s “love” Aaron (one of Tim’s coworkers and Annie’s godfather). It is so cute, Pen’s first crush! Time to go dip my biscotti in melted white chocolate and decorate with green or red course sugar!

The girls and I had fun walking outside in the snowflakes. Pen enjoyed splashing in puddles, until she fell on her hands and knees and was soaked in freezing cold water from head to toe. I’m headed to L.A. on Monday for a 1 day workshop, a nice little out of the office trip thanks to my (kick ass, if I do say so my self, not a hint of nerves and I was the first speaker on my panel! Presentation at the TRB Annual Meeting in D.C. back in later January. Sunday, February 26, 2012. So, not really the daffodil's lament.they don't care if your camera batteries die or not! We went out to Mrs. Lee's Daffodil Garden this morning. i was hoping to get some really great pictures of Scout and the flowers. first of all, we couldn't find anywhere to stop along the way until we got to the cabin. then, we got out at the cabin, started taking a few shots.and my battery light started flashing.argh!
