Conwy based family blog about our Mountain Biking and other silly stunts. A big day out! Great weather for March - 18C and hazy sun. Fairly quiet - only a few people around. We did the Red and the Black. Glentrool - one of the 7 Stanes. We're in Scotland again. We're in the Galloway Forest the one on the top left. We did Glentrool blue run. Yesterday. It was a reasonable blue route - not too difficult and some faster sections with big banked corners. We're off to Kirroughtree. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Penmachno trails were quite tough - rain had washed away a good deal of the soil making the bigger rocks stand out. No 2 fell off and damaged her wrist. Conwy based family blog about our Mountain Biking and other silly stunts. Aren't cassette bottom brackets great? Huw's bike has been making some bad noises recently, a kind of shrieking from the 'pedal area'. Pedals seemed okay and when I checked the play in the bottom bracket, it was obvious what the problem was. Dismantling it revealed one side was a mud/grease mixture and the other was bone dry, with powdered bearings! 68mm shell is the 'modern' size - certainly a British size. Me and the Boy.
