The 2007 B2P Team. Along with some friends and helpers. NZ) Retired mechanical engineer and registered nurse. Emigrated to New Zealand in 1971 from Holland. In each of the last 9 years they cycle somewhere in the world for 3-4 months, have already crossed USA, around Australia, etc. More about their trip. Plotted this scheme since 2004. Beautiful scenery, spectacular bridge crossings, great bike paths and wild pig crossings. Once we'd finished in Onomichi we met a gorgeous couple who shouted us a meal when we'd run out of cash and no one would take credit. I'll let the photos fill in the story. First bridge on the ride. We based ourselves in a campground north of Kyoto, which seemed to have some affinity with 'Gulliver's travels', and caught the train in for sightseeing. We thought it would be cheaper this way. The staff are not the friendliest people on the planet. Very rude and dismissive of you and if you are as unlucky as we were to have any disagreements with them, they won't try to come halfway on anything.
