Running for Marge: On
http://runningformarge.blogspot.com/2010/08/on.html
Because Alzheimer's sucks and running doesn't. Saturday, August 21, 2010. It's the end of another week of training. And I'm tired. Tuesday after work I met up with my teammates in Central Park for hill repeats. Don't know what that is? It is pretty much like what it sounds like.run up a hill almost as fast as you can, then do it again. We followed that with finishing off about four miles. Then Gatorade! Oh sweet clear liquid! Meghann on the move. Weekend part one: Warriors! August 15, 2011 at 6:18 pm Posted in races. I should have known better than to worry about the obstacles; the real torture was running UP the mountain! We started with a little jog before quickly realizing that we would have to just walk/hike most of it. It was steep! There were only two obstacles on the way up, and those two were nothing compared to the hike itself. And the biggest slip and slide ever (among many other things that I have already managed t...

Meghann on the move. Your BFF will always call you out. August 12, 2011 at 3:58 pm Posted in food. Yesterday after my toast post. My BFF told me that she does not approve of my breakfast edit! She said it’s not smart to eliminate something healthy (whole grain toast, almond butter) in favor unhealthy things (cheese, wine, ice cream). Can you imagine? There she is. From the back to protect her identity, of course.). BFF thinks I can have the toast AND the treats, but sadly, my tush doesn’t agree. Enter yo...

One day of not blogging so easily turns into two, which becomes a week, and then a month, and then here we are. This fall has definitely been over-the-top busy (in all good ways! But even though I haven’t been here, I. Certainly been running with Team Run to Remember. The New York City Marathon is only 17 days away! How did that happen? So, I signed on for a 30 day yoga challenge.

Meghann on the move. Scenes from the weekend. August 22, 2011 at 7:05 pm Posted in Thursday group. Kicked it off with 5 miles in Central Park with R2R and a special guest appearance by my friend Meredith. Friends, food, and glorious sunshine on Friday and Saturday. And went for my first Middletown run on Sunday! It was really beautiful. I wanted to do 3 miles but went 4.2 because I got a little lost. Better to do too much than not enough, I guess! Running for Marge: Head for the Hills
http://runningformarge.blogspot.com/2011/09/head-for-hills.html
Because Alzheimer's sucks and running doesn't. Thursday, September 22, 2011. Head for the Hills. So tonight I decided to Head for the Hills. Basically, hill repeat workouts are as follows: find a hill and run up it, then do it again and again. My town is fairly hilly and my long runs in the past have inevitable included hills. But I have avoided hill repeats because, well, they are HARD. The last time I remember doing hill repeats was with the R2R team last August. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
