Being Mrs. Chapman
Saturday, October 8, 2016. You do not have to go through life alone. It was suggested that I seek help, but in my mind, that meant that I was a failure. If I couldn't fix this on my own, I have failed at life. I thought between Google and a couple of books, I would be able to work through this on my own. How wrong was I? No Was I broken? Yes Did that make me any less of a person? No, it only helped me grow into the person I am today. Am I still learning and growing? What did I learn? It is so freeing whe...

Thursday, March 19, 2015. I have the best husband. Now, hold on, I'm not getting gushy. I mean, not really. I'll spare you. You're welcome. Our first Christmas together we were on a pretty slim budget- newly married, he's in school, I'm working two part-time jobs.there just wasn't a lot to spend. I asked for a blanket- a beautifully soft gray woven blanket (with fringe) that I had found at Target. Every time we passed the home furnishing aisle I would reach out and pet it and sigh. This year one of my fa...

Being Mrs Gardom | A newlywed's guide to cooking, baking and making my house a home
A newlywed's guide to cooking, baking and making my house a home. October 5, 2014. I love garlic mushrooms, there is something so rich and tasty and fab about them. But it’s always on the starter part of the menu wherever you go. Why can’t it be a main? I decided to rectify this situation with these slices of toasted baguette, piled with garlic mushrooms, covered in cheese and served on a bed of spinach. All in the comfort of your own home! Enjoy, Love Mrs Gardom. Spinach and Mushroom Quiche. You will ne...

Wednesday, July 26, 2017. While taking a quick mom break to mindlessly surf the net tonight, I thought, "Why not update the ol' blog? What a fast summer it has been! We've finally started gathering school supplies and ordering standard dress in the next size up. We're coasting by the rest of the summer. A 12 year anniversary celebrated, and a ...

Wednesday, March 05, 2014. Monday, March 03, 2014. As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is My word that goes out from My mouth: It will not return to Me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. Wednesday, February 26, 2014. We will miss you Sahia! Thursday, February 20, 2014. We had no idea! For God so lo.

July 14, 2015. My Journey: Day 2- Music is my Motivation. Well it's DAY TWO and let me just say, it wasn't as easy as day one. It never is right? I woke up late, but I still read what I needed to read even though I was running a little behind. But, when I have days like this where I can't get going- I always resort to motivational music. Fight Song" by Rachel Platten is a great one to get me going but this is another one of my favorites. If you can't listen to it where you're at, just read these lyrics.
