Greenery is one of the easiest ways to decorate for the holidays. We see it frequently in wreaths and garlands. Here is a guide to common greenery. Eucalyptus: This is seeded eucalyptus which has more oval leaves and small green seeds. It makes pretty garlands, wreaths, and filler. You can also use other types of eucalyptus such as silver dollar. Cypress: This evergreen has long branches that drape making it very pretty in arrangements or a wreath. One of my favorite ways to shop for Christmas decoration...

Being Mrs Roberts: Sunflower Seeds

http://www.beingmrsroberts.com/2013/09/sunflower-seeds.html

This past week we have been enjoying a fun project, harvesting sunflower seeds! They came out pretty good if I do say so myself. This is one of our gigantic sunflower heads. It is around four inches bigger then a basketball, but that's just an estimate. On the stem they reached over eight feet tall, and the stem was about two to three inches around. These were the best sunflowers we had ever grown. After being washed and dried we set them in a pot of water and half a cup salt, to soak for a day or two.

My son has been fascinated with World War II.the planes, the uniforms.everything. For his birthday, we decided to throw his a surprise WWII theme birthday. Luckily we had some of my grandfathers foot lockers and uniform as well as a few modern military items. We had some family members dress up in old uniforms. Handmade cardboard signs were used to mark the HQ, Supply Depot and Mess Hall. Vintage WW2 posters were printed and placed around our home. We used our porch as the main staging area.

Being Mrs. Pierce. Life as a wife, wanna-be chef, book-lover, teacher, and traveler. Kitchen Remodel, Part 1. June 23, 2015. 8212; skpierce12 @ 8:58 AM. While we’re making over every room in the house, the kitchen is our definite splurge. We decided to do a complete make-over, starting from scratch. The old cabinets were stained, greasy, and in disrepair. Ditto for the appliances. We decided it all needed to go. Lighting was the next step. The old (and seriously dirty) fluorescent light fixture was o...

Documenting one couple's journey through a diagnosis of terminal cancer and beyond. About Mr and Mrs Smith. I haven’t written for a while. Actually, I haven’t done anything for a while other than clear, clean, pack, move, clear and clean again and unpack. It’s been more or less my full-time occupation for months now and it hasn’t been easy. But it had to be done. 8211; the house was too big and too expensive and I couldn’t stay. And most importantly I had a beautiful healthy baby girl! Can't wait to post more about her in her very own special post! Sunday, July 1, 2012. Growing up we were normal sisters. We played Barbi...
