We both appreciated the mild flavors- fresh ginger, garlic in moderation, sweetness from apple cider vinegar and a little bit of sugar- and the healthy combination of veggies and other good things that converged in the bibimbap (it's fun to say! Blog With A Dog. E-mail me at billdeg@umich.edu. I didn't accomplish the five things I put on my weekend to-do list, though I graded some. On the bright side, I've been exercising most every day. Wednesday, April 24, 2013. My campus hosted two major U.S. poets this week: Natasha Trethewey (current poet laureate) and Christopher Merrill. They gave a master class for our English majors and faculty and shared some useful ideas and insights. Some random things I jotted down for future reference/use/reading:. Merrill: Emily Dickinson wrote 400 poems in 1862 and didn't mention the Civil War (explicitly) a single time. Both: poets are in conversation with one another, so read widely. Play with call-...
