Back in the olden times GW's White Dwarf magazine would have articles encouraging scratch-building terrain and vehicles. I loved how simple it all seemed, with some stiff paper and glue, I could just do all of that couldn't I? In western Europe in the middle ages it was common for people of all stripes to make pilgrimages at certain points in the their lives or others, and we can imagine it to be similar in the Talisman setting. The Talisman Pilgrim, though, seems to have made it his calling, and there's a more specific term for these individuals: palmer. I'm reading Edmund Spencer's The Fairie Queene.
