I've been in a bit of a funk. We have lost 2 dear friends since October 30th, and the dark days has just made it a little harder. This is a quilt I finished the quilting on for my friend Jackie Carley. She left me a lot of spaces to quilt in. It really was a fun one to quilt. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Artful Quilters Bl...

This little quilt is about 8 inches square. It's a whole cloth that I used paint sticks and a stencil for the colors. I let it cure for about 3 weeks then quilted it. It was fun! Below is the one I made for Rena. This last photo is from my Calendar Girls group on Thursday. Follow the link to see the rest. Monday, April 07, 2014.

Swedish Scrapper: December 2013
http://swedishscrapper.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 31, 2013. I sewed quite a bit more than I thought, but I had a bunch of fallow months too. I'm still getting a handle on depression, but I feel hopeful. I can see I focused more on smaller makes, as I only made 4 doll quilts. But I also made a sofa caddy pincushion, tons of bee blocks, drawstring bags from two different patterns, and an apron, linen towels, an assortment of hotpads and coasters, 6 pillows, and a curtain for the front door. I finished ONE lap quilt! I made a tea cozy!

Saturday, August 3, 2013. I thought we were going straight from spring to fall with all the 50 degree weather and rain we've had in our neck of the woods! It finally broke though and we've had balmy 70s for over a week now. Here's what the sun brought after the rain! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Follow me on Bloglovin'. I'm an American living in Sweden. Swedish Scrapper: I had to chuckle...
http://swedishscrapper.blogspot.com/2014/07/i-had-to-chuckle.html
Thursday, July 3, 2014. I had to chuckle. When I opened up my luggage back in February, after going home for my grandmother's funeral. Among the pictures and sewing notions and her measuring tape that I brought back, were a few kitchen towels she had used for many years. I brought back a pair I had sent her, bought at IKEA. Those are on the top of this pile. Hers is the one with the pretty red rick-rack sewn on. She really like to embellish fabric in a simple way. I'd say she had Zakka style. July 3, 201...

Monday, September 17, 2012. Hello fellow blog hoppers! I hope you're ready for another version of dots-gone-wild this week! Well, I started to pull fabrics for my project when a zap of inspiration hit me squarely between the eyes. I had been thinking about my friend Carrie at Believemagic. And how much I like her art quilts- they're amazing! Feel free to click on it for a closer look, but in case your'e wondering, the text I sewed to it reads,. She Fell in Love with the Words". Piques your interest, no?
