The children know her from the many wonderful NC Wildlife Resources Distance Learning programs she provides for our students. A former middle school science teacher, Ms. Thompson leads the Distance Learning programming for NC Wildlife Resources from their new facility at Centennial Campus in Raleigh, NC. For example, when you kick a ball, you are pushing the ball somewhere. Then there's gravity. It makes things move. Monday, May 21, 2012. RHES News - Team 10. These wonderful students presented the school news in May, 2012. They are from Ms. Scott's class. My class had a scientist come to our classroom. She was really cool and funny. We did forces and motion. After that we went to shoot a rocket. It was really cool. One went 500 feet in the air. Wednesday, December 14, 2011. Manatees - Sea Trek. Ms Throckmorton's 4th grade class had an IVC with Sea Trek (MOTE Marine Lab) in Sarasota, Florida. We learned a lot of new information and enjoyed watching the manatees swim and play and eat. We also saw a video of these special two manatees that are trained.
