Jodaeo Design: January 2012

Tuesday, January 10, 2012. Dusting Off the Sewing Machine. My project for the last few weeks has been window treatments. We bought this house with the intention of only living in it for 2 years. We have now been here for over 15 years. With the state of the economy we figure we will be here another 15 years. With that in mind I deiced it was time to get rid of the mid 90's lace curtains. I love them so much that I turn them on every night. The felt garland was made by local artist Dina Fernandez. The Wor...

The Principal's Office: Lights!
http://dnrstudios.blogspot.com/2010/10/lights.html
Rusty and Dina's adventures in living in an artists' community in an old elementary school in North Seattle. Tuesday, October 5, 2010. At the risk of making our living room look like a skating rink. those golden pipes just beg to have strings of lights wrapped around them. The overhead lights are much too bright and make a buzzing sound. We mostly leave them off, unless we're cleaning and need a reality check on just how much cat hair is covering the couch and rugs. Well, I'm about to miss her a bunch, as she's taking her wares on the road for art shows in Houston and San Francisco. Bye, Meg! Bring home lots of cash and empty bins! The overhead lights a...

Chemo Transit: March 2011
http://chemotransit.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
This blog is about my having breast cancer and its treatment, including chemotherapy and radiation therapy. Saturday, March 26, 2011. The face (actually, the toes) of neuropathy. CIPN) is why my Oncologist stopped my chemo yesterday. I've been having tingling in my fingertips and feet, and my toe and fingernails have been sensitive to touch. Also, the nails have become discolored. I sit in my Lay-Z-Bum chair and look outside. I think "Hey! I want to get out there and putter in the yard! I sit back down.

This blog is about my having breast cancer and its treatment, including chemotherapy and radiation therapy. Monday, January 31, 2011. I now know the chemo feeling too well, and have learned to recognize it when it first creeps in. I've got 12 more weeks of this round, and I'm. I've unsuccessfully tried to describe the sensation. It's icky. How's that for an ability to articulate the chemo feeling? For me, it's just the luck of the draw. Friday, January 28, 2011. Thursday, January 27, 2011. You ever tried...
