Lili in the Kitchen: March 2009
http://lili-in-the-kitchen.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Lili in the Kitchen. Me chatting about food, family, friends and travel. Sunday, 29 March 2009. This weekend was a busy one. Starting with a night out with the girls on Friday to see Dave. A really good local band who do the BEST covers. We planned to eat out first, then meet other family and friends at the gig. Unfortunately we then got a call to say that the band had had to cancel as the lead singer, Paul, had pleurisy. So we enjoyed our meal out and had an early night instead! Is a favourite for lunch.

Lili in the Kitchen: August 2009

Lili in the Kitchen. Me chatting about food, family, friends and travel. Monday, 10 August 2009. So, before i get back to talking about food, here are some shots of my other holiday (which is now also a distant but wonderful memory.). And enjoyed some wine tasting) but mainly hung out at the house, being entertained by Ben, preparing nice food and drinking good wine. The house had a few cookery books which we flicked through for inspiration, this. Tarte Noir from the Patisserie. Links to this post.

Lili in the Kitchen. Me chatting about food, family, friends and travel. Saturday, 28 August 2010. My Dad Beets All the Rest. Firstly, sorry for being away for so long. I realised I needed to catch up on my blog when even my Dad mentioned that I hadn't updated it for a while! Work has been busy and my weekends have been taken up with a short photography course (the results may not be obvious for a while as I need to practice what I've learnt! Sarah - first born, so pretty special. Http:/ thoroughlymodern...

Free food from nature: Apple-cheddar pie. October 11, 2011 · 9:15 am. Sometimes all the stars align. Yesterday afternoon, after shaping a batch of bagels in the morning, I had a good amount of revived starter left over, with a bit of rye flour thrown in for flavour and colour. After 30 hours out of the fridge it was looking even more boisterous, full of those gluten strings, and just asking to be made into a loaf of bread. I hadn’t made anything yet from Dan Lepard’s Short and Sweet. Way too much about t...

http://nevercomehome.blogspot.com/2009/06/i-forgot-to-post-about-my-blind-date.html
Sunday, June 14, 2009. I forgot to post about my blind date with Gerald last week. When I was guessing that he'd be a perve, and cheap, I was only half right. We went to The Ledbury. In Notting Hill, and as we walked through the door, I realized Gerald wasn't cheap. When he called for me, Gerald was wearing a pin stripe suit. You're probably having visions of Daniel Craig. Think more in terms of a chubby lawyer with a jagged bowl cut- kind of Cadfael. Minus the monk's robes. After about an hour, I hit ma...

Disemployed: Tuesday, Part 2
http://nevercomehome.blogspot.com/2009/06/tuesday-part-2.html
Tuesday, June 2, 2009. Tuesday, Part 2. This story begins with ponies, and ends with being bullied into a blind date. I'm doing an embroidery project (have done no work on it in days- too consistently hungover to be trusted with a needle). I call it Happy Ponies. It will be a triptych, rendered in pillows. Ponies, butterflies, and bunnies everywhere. So, you say his head was bashed in with a blunt instrument? Could you pass the strawberry jam? Thinking about all this, I hear the magic ding! Sorry Ive bee...

Sunday, June 28, 2009. Embarrassing Myself in London, Part 1. The Lakes District vacation was perfect- just what Clarissa and I needed before returning to a debaucherous weekend in London. By midnight Saturday I wished I'd never come back. The momentous something: Arthur was unbelievably, catastrophically hot. How could he possibly be related to Gerald? I looked back at Clarissa- I could see she felt equally confused, and cheated. Hmph- not my problem. I turned back to Arthur. He slammed on the accel...
