Oman Susan: October 2007
http://omansusan.blogspot.com/2007_10_01_archive.html
My adventures from across the world. Wednesday, October 17, 2007. Vol 53 Day 6 Selcuk. After an excellent sleep I joined my fellow travelers on the terrace of the pension for a delicious breakfast where I met Simca, from Holland. Simca is a lovley woman, probably somewhere in her sixties. She was planning to go to Osman's carpet shop to finalize selecting a carpet so I asked to tag along. I had decided it would be best to avoid Dervis for the day since he was getting so clingy. Posted by Oman Susan.

My adventures from across the world. Friday, November 30, 2007. Vol 63 Day 15 Bhalil/Sefrou. Knowing that I am not Muslim and not accustomed to fasting, Rabha made me a nice breakfast of cheese, bread and cakes, served with Moroccan tea. I discovered Moroccan tea shortly after I met Mahfoodth, here in Oman. It is green tea with fresh mint and sugar. And it is yummy. And it is even yummier in Morocco than it is in Oman. Rabha was shy at first, keeping her head down whenever I took a photo. They do all...

The living room was always filled with women. The lady in the middle is the henna artist. She was so good! Here's the first cousin done. Detail of palm side. And the back side. Back side. So pretty. My adventures from across the world. Saturday, December 6, 2008. Vol 90 India part 5. My internal hard drive is now an external hard drive! I still have all of my photos and music and my book! Before anything else goes wrong I want to post my Indian wedding photos. Yes, I do realize there are too many of them. Tough. What's a wedding without too many photos? The corner of the dining room had been converted into an offering corner. The relatives kept arriving all day. The sari's were so beautiful. The gro...

My adventures from across the world. Wednesday, November 5, 2008. Vol 89 When life sucks, it sucks hard! I'll just out with it. I killed my laptop. I panicked for a little bit. Seriously. Then I called Lane on what was left of my calling card. I quickly told him the situation and asked him to quickly tell me if it was ok before my calling call died. "It's dead" he said. "You might recover your hardrive but your laptop is toast". I started crying, he comforted me. Back when I can,. Posted by Oman Susan.

My adventures from across the world. Monday, June 9, 2008. Vol 82 Michele Day 14. Another boring day from a blog reader's perspective. Michele and I slept in after our adventure of the day before. We went to my favorite restaurant, Kargeen, for the lunch buffet. We wandered around town a bit. We went to the Muttrah souk where she finished her souvenir and gift shopping. She bought this wall hanging. Is it odd that I felt the need to show these photos of her food? Posted by Oman Susan. Links to this post.
