Sunday, July 27, 2008. I hope this isn't an indication . Of the bruising I will have post-op. Yikes! Anyway, I bruise pretty easily, at least this one I can hide behind a pair of jeans. If this is an indication of how my face will bruise after surgery, I will look like a human punching bag! Needless-to-say, I am now forbidden from mowing the lawn, at least that part of it. Monday, January 5, 2009. I received my early Christmas present a few days before Christmas . a call from the dentist's office that there was a cancellation and I could get my teeth cleaned the next day! The gals are always so cheery when I go in there, so it is always a treat to see them as well. Hi Ladies if you're reading! March 4th and I will be brace free! I couldn't believe it . I still can't. That will mean I will be de-braced just a few days shy of my 6 month mark post surgery. Definately 2 for 2!

Thursday, December 4, 2008. Plate Removal Successful . I am back home, everything went very well, in fact I believe I was awake for most of the procedure and remember most of it, but felt nothing. I had to stop on the way home for my antibiotics, but at this point no pain and no swelling as far as I can tell. Hopefully it will stay that way! Bright colors really highlight your hair nicely. It is cool how so much of your swelling went down about 5-6 weeks ago, but then these pics show how much *less* swelling you have even now. Tuesday, October 21, 2008. 2 more weeks of liquid/blended diet . He fears if I move to soft chew it could rub the incision and prevent further healing. Oh well . I've gone 6 weeks, what's another 2?
