We had left our house and cats in the care of a house-sitter with support from our neighbours.

Skiing

Skiing is a major interest. We have devoted much energy to snow sports since about 1974 when we learnt to ski in Austria. We ‘resort telemark’ downhill as well as skate cross-country. We have tried snowboarding, and may take it up when our knees get worse. Since 1995, we have skied in Canada almost every year. We prefer Sun Peaks near Kamloops in British Columbia.

Family Trees

These trees trace the descendants of our ancestors. Geoff’s tree traces people who came to Australia in a number of waves. One group arrived in NSW and some of those moved to Queensland. Others went straight to North Queensland. Most came from England, some from Scotland and some from Ireland. Why did they come? Why did they move when and to where they did? Geoff’s tree index page.
