NOT ASHAMED!: Thankfulness in trials
http://halfmom.blogspot.com/2012/06/thankfulness-in-trials.html
For I am not ashamed of the Gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes. Thursday, June 21, 2012. Not my strong suit, to automatically say thank you when a trial hits. So, thank you, God for the broken garage door. It was so good to catch up with my young friend, see what you were doing in his life and just live life together for an evening. I often wish I could see more of what God was up to- and thank Him for it- in the little things that vex my days. What Was I Thinking?

The wiles of the devil. By Ted M. Gossard. In the secularist culture in which we live I gladly hold to actual spiritual entities of evil. I have a hard time calling them personal, since by their acts they are sinning against personhood, and descending to something less than what people are, which at its heart is relational. Call them forces, entities, what not, but they can be addressed as persons. One particular aspect of the devil’s wiles or strategy (in. 8220;schemes” in Ephesians 6. Jesus' death...

Being a Bible person. By Ted M. Gossard. I am rereading Scot McKnight’s book. On the meaning of the kingdom of God in scripture, and as has been the case, find myself resonating not only with the book, but with his words something to the effect that he is a Bible guy. Such a hard subject, and were considered hateful if we hold to the traditional view, which I do. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). What Was I Thinking? What Was I Thinking? Love Notes to Yahweh.

NOT ASHAMED!: To a Few Lilley Women

For I am not ashamed of the Gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes. Saturday, January 18, 2014. To a Few Lilley Women. This particular week in January is often a difficult one for me. It marks the anniversary of my mother’s death. It’s been 4 years now and I still miss her. I think of something I want to tell her and start to reach for the phone only to realize she’s not there. We always tried to evaluate situations based on the principle, “does this matter in the...
