A documented journal of my journey in this crazy world. We were ushered to the side porch where we saw 40 people squeezed onto a 10ft wide 30meter long space. A mix of chairs and broken benches. A simple wooden podium with a cross engraved in it. Some fabric draped behind the alter. A torn rug in the front where they sat. No cushy seats or even pews. No separate area for children. I am in shock that I am 4 months away from getting on a plane and heading back to the States. I have been asked to reflect on my time in Zim for an MCC SALT yearbook and I can’t help but marvel with what God has done here in this short time.
