Opposite and Opposed: Rockwood Park MTB Map
http://oppositeandopposed.blogspot.com/p/rockwood-park-mtb-map.html
Rockwood Park MTB Map. Black = Roads (or Gravel). Blue = Wide Track. Green = Single Track. Yellow = Technical / Hard / Steep. Over the summer I've gotten involved in mountain biking again. It was initially difficult to get good info on the new trail systems developed since I stopped biking about 7 years ago. I began to compile/create what maps I could. This particular map was mostly data-mined from the park's website and that of the Rock Challenge race page. July 13, 2012 at 9:29 AM. Will Gadd’s Gu...

Opposite and Opposed: NB Ice Climbing
http://oppositeandopposed.blogspot.com/p/nb-ice-climbing.html
The map project above locates all areas I know of in NB with established ice routes. The coordinates ought to be accurate enough to get you in the ballpark and within view of the ice. In some cases, I've added brief discriptions of the area associated with the area. In other cases, I've added representations of the climber's trail accessing the crag. For those of you with Google Earth, you can download the KMZ file for these areas: : Here. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. By CMG Guid...

Opposite and Opposed: June 2013

Monday, June 17, 2013. What does the L-Shape have in common with the mayor of Toronto? Here's a testimony to the continued development of climbing opportunities around N.B:. About 2 years ago I submitted a letter. To Gripped magazine which was eventually published. At the time, a number of fellas were busy re-equipping old lines and cleaning new routes was happening fast. It's pretty cool to see that the pace hasn't slowed. His business card simply reads:. Chris Hennigar - Mountain Man. The L-Shape now s...

Opposite and Opposed: NB Potential Unexplored Rock
http://oppositeandopposed.blogspot.com/p/nb-potential-unexplored-rock.html
NB Potential Unexplored Rock. The map project above locates all areas I know of in NB that have rock potential which hasn't been fully investigated. The coordinates ought to be accurate enough to get you in the ballpark and within view of the rock/boulders. These areas have been somewhat scouted through either drive-bys from a distance or through looking at aerial photos. They deserve someone with some time to go take a look. Opposite and Opposed: April 2014
http://oppositeandopposed.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, April 20, 2014. First rock 2014. only about 3 weeks late. Well as of yesterday it was still snowing in the morning. but I think that's finally done. Spring is weeks late and most crags will be seeping snow-melt for a while. Cedar Pt. is good though. as always bone dry and warm. All the jogging / cycling / and chin-ups in the world don't compensate for a lack of climbing. Still though. was a terrific day to be hucking myself at warm rock with good company. I don't remember them last year. That cou...
