Sunday, December 1, 2013. Requiem for Stay cation. The final surrender is done. I laid out clothes and set my alarm. (Not a huge deal. I have been up at 7am most mornings with the hens rioting at sunrise. Plus, staying up during the autumn months loses to comfortable bed every night.). A few chores got done. A pie was made. Books were read (the ones I wanted are awaiting me at the library. Grrrr.) Watched some football and Maury. Naps were taken. Ambition was not my friend. I'm getting drowsy writing this.

Leanna’s Refrigerator Dill Pickles. 6 to 8 pounds cucumbers, scrubbed and sliced into ¼” thick rounds. 10 fresh dill sprigs. 2 tbsp dill seeds. 1 large onion, thinly sliced. 6 garlic cloves, sliced into thirds. 3 cups white vinegar. 1 cup Bragg’s Apple Cider Vinegar. 1/2 cup canning/pickling salt.
