The style that the art director came up with called for the short to look like pen ink and paint. It was a blast and I learned a lot in the process. When I originally pitched the idea for Flint's Laptop to the directors, I had Inspector Gadget in mind, so I went a little crazy. It was toned down a bit, as you can see in the final design, but still lots of fun. If you look close you may see some familiar technology decorated in Flint's tron-line decor.
