Ginnylynnpeterson: Andrew's Segway Birthday Adventure
http://ginnylynnpeterson.blogspot.com/2011/10/andrews-segway-birthday-adventure.html
Thursday, October 20, 2011. Andrew's Segway Birthday Adventure. I did my best to surprise Andrew with a DC Segway tour. I'll be honest, I personally did not have much interest in Segway's, but now I have a new perspective! I can't believe I got Andrew to slow down enough to take the above photo. The experience was truly comic.Segways get a lot of attention.positive and negative! But we all had fun shouting Yeha back to anyone who showed interest! Ginnylynnpeterson: A weekend with the parents!
http://ginnylynnpeterson.blogspot.com/2011/10/weekend-with-parents.html
Wednesday, October 12, 2011. A weekend with the parents! My parents came to visit and we packed it all in! Eastern Market, Fragers, Hello Cupcakes, Cuban food. I LOVE it when I can get my parents to do a jump shot! One of the great things about our new place is we can walk to baseball and soccer games! Tonight we hit up the Nationals baseball game. Our great seats allowed us, a birds eye view of the stuffed presidents that run the nightly race at the games. Thanks for your great visit! Every dream has it...

Ginnylynnpeterson: Patagonia Field Day
http://ginnylynnpeterson.blogspot.com/2011/10/patagonia-field-day.html
Monday, October 24, 2011. I have found working at Patagonia to be one of the best jobs EVER! I feel very lucky to work with such a great bunch of enthusiastic, motivated, and creative people. Patagonia, with its brilliant work ethics, gave us a day off to go play outside, and that is exactly what we did.a slack-lining, hiking, climbing, and eating sort of day (Sarah's pie was the best)! Places I Like to Go: Caribou Creek Ice Climbing
http://mtngrlinak.blogspot.com/2013/01/caribou-creek-ice-climbing.html
Places I Like to Go. Thursday, January 3, 2013. Caribou Creek Ice Climbing. I've never done this route and have always wanted to, but it hasn't been in stellar shape like this for years. Bill and I did our customary rosh at the bottom and I won. I made a belay before the steep pitch, I figured it would be challenging enough for me without rope drag, and it was. The second pitch felt steep, I definitely earned it. Start of the Last Pitch. Tonya at the top of the pitch and Jon below. My Frozen Beer Volcano.

Places I Like to Go: August 2012
http://mtngrlinak.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Places I Like to Go. Thursday, August 9, 2012. Packrafting the Chickaloon River. Its funny how I didn't really know what I was getting myself into when Kellie asked me if I wanted to go float the Chickaloon river. I was anticipating a 4 mile walk, and on the drive there learned it was more like 15. Leaving early made so much more sense with that clarified. We parked on the road by the river and started hiking up a four wheeler trail, which disappeared at about mile 2. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Life in ...

Places I Like to Go: October 2012
http://mtngrlinak.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Places I Like to Go. Sunday, October 28, 2012. Early Season Ice in Eagle River. Every time I come out here I get lost and so every time I remember the lost part, not the right way to go. This route is easily hidden and easily found, but no matter the obstacles its always worth it. Ryan, Tonya and I started out and then Jon and Sue surprised us by coming out. There was literally just a dusting of snow and the gully up for the most part was frozen solid, definitely more interesting climbing than usual.

http://mtngrlinak.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Places I Like to Go. Monday, June 18, 2012. It took a lot of vacillating back and forth, and even packing our boats, before we could finally give up the dream of floating the creek. To much snow and to high of water. We enjoyed an amazing dinner at a perfect campsite by the river, I love being on vacation. Kellie cooking fresh salmon in butter.Yum. Kellie hiking across the Root glacier. Kellie on the edge. Kellie with the base of Donaho peak in the distance. There was a short but brutal section of bushwh...

Places I Like to Go: The Awesome Pillar
http://mtngrlinak.blogspot.com/2013/02/the-awesome-pillar.html
Places I Like to Go. Sunday, February 10, 2013. Me, Bill, Todd and Carina went back the Awesome Valley. From the parking lot at Victory Road, to where we parked the snow-go was about 6 miles, then it was about a 4 mile ski up the creek to the base of the Awesome pillar. Leaving the parking lot. The river was open in places and had a weak fluffy layer of snow over it in others. The Adventure of the Approach. The pillar is in HUGE this year, it seemed twice as wide as the last time I was here. Aniakchak: f...
