Called The Storyboard. What began life as a few photos and an idea soon became the seedlings for a full exhibition. So we did all of the work with hand tools so that you stay connected to what your hands are doing and don't have the chance of making costly mistakes that can occur if you use power tools. The most of the work is done using the surform and hand plane and then it is important to tie all the curves together smoothly, for which we use some nice big sanding boards. Tuesday, 20 September 2011. The Storyboard Opens at Polzeath. The Storyboard and book took center stage for the openning. A board close-up reveals the story and the hard work - handmade plywood with engraved frame all from one tree! A selection of our final images (6 of 12) all framed with the same tree's timber.
