Robin Hood had the right idea | Proposals
https://osully67.wordpress.com/2009/11/02/take-from-the-rich-give-to-the-needy
Robin Hood had the right idea. There are a few people in the world that feel they’ve had a pretty good day because they drank the finest champagne money can buy. There are a lot more people in the world that feel they’ve had an equally good day because they drank clean water. Yeah, depressing! But that’s why we’ve got to change it. November 2, 2009. Resurrect swing dance | Proposals
https://osully67.wordpress.com/2009/10/30/resurrect-swing-dance
My friends, we are living in a dancing dark age. Long gone are the fast-paced, fun twist and shouts and Lindy hops, now we have to endure singers announcing where we should step in the Cha Cha Slide and the Cupid Shuffle. Even those rich guys in the Renaissance had the right idea. Clapping and switching partners and gettin’ it down has never been. So classy or fun. I propose we bring back swing dance. It is energetic, spastic, PG, and fascinating. Demolish Hatters. Bulldoze it. Burn it! You are commentin...

Let’s make 8 years of college the standard. | Proposals
https://osully67.wordpress.com/2009/10/23/hello-world
Let’s make 8 years of college the standard. You always hear how great it is to be open-minded, and college is the ideal playground for exploration. There’s infinite opportunities to do random shit, like join ski club or pay $25 to see West Side Story on Broadway or go to a seminar where you can pet a live wolf. Awesome. Bottom line: 19 is far too young to decide on a career path. To decide on a major (and consequently a career,) early real world experience is essential. You should be taking a fil...Yes, ...

Po-town colleges unite! | Proposals
https://osully67.wordpress.com/2009/11/02/po-town-colleges-unite
1 I don’t know anyone from the Culinary Institute, Vassar, or Dutchess. And I would like to! I’m sure Culinary kids are interesting and intellectual, and Vassar kids have some sort of artsy input to give, and Dutchess kids are awesome too. I don’t want to live my entire life having Lean cuisines being the highlight of my eating of the week. I can think of a genius yet simple way of combining these two lacks of knowing into one brilliant proposal. Let’s all join together, college students of Po-town.

With toy soldiers, the battle never ends. | Jofosho's Blog
https://jofosho.wordpress.com/2009/11/03/with-toy-soldiers-the-battle-never-ends
Straight from the Y.O. With toy soldiers, the battle never ends. Posted November 3, 2009. Lately, I’ve been seriously considering not sticking around my house for the holidays. Last Christmas was a bust thanks to my rotten uncle and if I have to witness him acting like an unappreciative mama’s boy (and a dickhead at that), I will literally impale him with the new mini-pine tree I bought at Big Lots recently. So I have two options: maintain peace and try not to pierce him with a fork when he acts like an ...

And you thought “Tom the Turkey” had it bad? | Jofosho's Blog

Straight from the Y.O. And you thought “Tom the Turkey” had it bad? Posted November 26, 2009. Hello fellow bloggers. It has been some time since my last blog, so I thought I’d do a quick update. It was good to get away from those relatives that make every holiday miserable. Confrontation through volunteering and doing homework, as opposed to holing myself up in my room. Or better yet, scowling through Thanksgiving dinner. Pfff. Stupid turkey. Stupid holiday! Oh, Black Friday will be fun too! You are comm...

Let’s do the Time Warp!!! | Jofosho's Blog
https://jofosho.wordpress.com/2009/11/03/lets-do-the-time-warp
Straight from the Y.O. Let’s do the Time Warp! Posted November 3, 2009. So they say time is a greedy bastard. Thief, but it does have its compensations. Recently, I was visiting my grandparents to have dinner with them. Afterwards, I decided to help my G-Ma (as I call her) organize her cluttered den. Just as I approached the door, a strange site stopped me dead in my tracks. My grandfather, whom I call “Buddah”, was screaming obscenities out of his bedroom window. Dimensia is settling in! It wasn’t...

Do we really have to visit? | Jofosho's Blog
https://jofosho.wordpress.com/2009/11/03/do-we-really-have-to-visit
Straight from the Y.O. Do we really have to visit? Posted November 3, 2009. There’s a lot of brutality going on in the Middle East, but it truly pales in comparison to the war on the home front. Namely, my home front. There’s an argument that many people put forth, one that encourages the younger generations to visit the elderly. Don’t send them to their bleak graves without a going-away party! They shout. Most of them just want to talk about their service in Korea and play checkers! My sister, Lane, and...
