Curtis was conveniently met at the ferry in Santorini (it was midnight) and whisked to his hotel ( San Giorgio Villa). Next day Curtis walked from Fira town down to the old port. My room had an excellent view looking across and down into the site which spurred my curiosity. The site has been in a constant state of recovery and reconstruction since 2001 . World Trade Center Tower 2 struck at 9:03 am September 11, 2001. Millenium Hotel is the black building on the left. And there are two memorial fountains.
