There is life beyond the building/modifying of webpages! HTML is not my strong point and while I will have to wait several months before paddling at least the sea ice is thick with that all important fine covering of snow. Was taken at the end of May last year as the ice was beginning to break up. Click for the Tw...

Altaan Batar - Golden Hero
http://www.altaanbatar.net/index.html
Altaan Batar - Golden Hero. A bit of a trip. I've setup this domain name and basic web pages as a source of information and publicity. I'm intending to travel overland from the UK to Mongolia. It's not a holiday, it maybe a bit of an adventure and planning is minimal. I'm doing this as its a country I've always wanted to visit and flying there is just far too easy. If you'd rather send a old fashioned cheque or postal order, then please do so, my address is on the contact. Site last updated 010509.

The Seven Settlements: Day 4 - foggy excuses
http://tss2010.blogspot.com/2010/08/day-4-foggy-excuses.html
Monday, August 16, 2010. Day 4 - foggy excuses. I found plenty of excuses not to paddle the next day. Amongst the best were the "promises to be safe" and "not take chances with calving icebergs in the fog". Pretty convincing arguments when you are a democracy of one, in a pup-tent, with a particularly good book in your hands. My most convincing argument was of course the need to "air my finger"! Remember the slice I took out of my finger on Day 1? That's my story and I'm sticking with it. The expedition ...
